This peculiar mushroom has many names and even more therapeutic effects. Its Chinese name is Reishi, translated as "the mushroom of immortality," and it was used during the reign of the Chan dynasty between AD 25 and 220. However, the first usage of the mushroom dates back much further, with traditional Chinese medicine recognising the effects of lingzhi more than 4,000 years ago. Because of that, the lingzhi mushroom has spread all over the world.
