Finally, Ms. White, former head of the largest environmental oversight organization behind the Federal EPA, collaborates with the former chief economics writer for the WSJ to clearly articulate why renewables are not interchangeable with fossil fuels and will never be until technological hurdles are overcome --likely many years from today--that permits diffuse, unpredictable, absurdly expensive, and low quality solar and wind energy to be economically stored in amounts needed to meet demands even on a supplemental basis. I first heard Kathleen White present her paper on The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels at a climate conference in 2014. But in working with Scott Moore to tie in the economics and human behavior with her extensive science of energy and climate background, this duo presents the most compelling arguments to both continue and expand the wide use of fossil fuels--most especially in the developing world and discontinuing massive subsidies to solar and gas immediately because none of the Green industry claims are true! Using government numbers, these authors show that foe every dollar spent in coal, oil, and gas that provides the vast majority of US electrical power, our government is handing out $755 to solar--and has been for decades and yet solar STILL isn't economically viable! A must read for policy makers and easily understood by most educated people!

An optimistic program for energy independence is central and the fallacious environmentalist roadblocks are outlined.It is a most informative book. and easy to read.
