Overall assembly was straight forward. It is not as rigid as I would prefer but that said, it is rigid enough. There is a slight deflection has you push down, causing a very slight loss of perpendicularity. It is not enough to cause a bad insertion, but I would have preferred it to remain square. Understand that for the money, this is still more than worth the cost. The iron works great and heats up quickly.
