These are great little synthetic djembe's
These are great little synthetic djembe's. They are small, but a good size for kids. I bought two, the sunshine model for my 5 year old grandson...and... I bought the twisted amber for...uhhh...ok...myself (good for kids of all ages) . He bangs the crap outta this thing and it seems to be holding up well so far. Nino is geared towards kids, but they are from Roland/Meinl. These were made in Indonesia, but the quality is good. The sound is just like in the video's (minus the great drummer). This is a fun little djembe, or as my grandson puts it best..."Oh man, this thing is cool Pop Pop!"

Perfect little drum for your little one
I got this for my 10 month old. She absolutely loves it! As soon as we took it out of the box she knew what it was and just started banging out a beat. I've been playing mine for her before she was born, and loves play mine with me. Now she has her own to play along with. She can keep a solid 1/4 beat . This drum sounds amazing! The.skin is plastic, the drum body is extra light and strong. There isn't any sharp or rough edges the edge of the skin has a nice fabric cover around it . Perfect for kids, adults, would make a pretty awesome hiking drum to go along with your ukulele. It compliments out tenor ukulele well.

Mighty Mini
Did not know what to expect after ordering, reading reviews and watching videos. However, glad I ordered it. Looks great and sounds surprisingly good. It has enough vollume to have my wifevhear it upstairs from the garage. The sound is somewhere between bongos and a conga (small). Due to its size it is a little hard to keep between your legs but is workable. Heck, pair it with a set of bongos, conga, knee taps and a harmonica and have a one-man (or woman) band! Very happy.

These sound great. I'm using them for music therapy groups with adults. A few clients have had a negative reaction to their size, but were fine once they started playing them. They're small and light, so it's great for traveling with a ton of stuff to different facilities. My 2 year old kids tested them out at home before I put them away for work and they had a great time.

real drum?
Seriously, it sounds worse than my kid's toy konga drum.

Great Sound
I am a professional percussionist and was looking for something for my five year old granddaughter. This has a great sound, is durable and it's purple. Great deal. And she loves it.

Not a real drum
This is little better than a coffee can with a plastic cover. It is not an instrument; it is a toy.
