The thickness of new SSD drives is a little less than older HDD's. You need this spacer when making this replacement

Use for HDD to SSD laptop upgrades
Essential if you're swapping out an old laptop HDD for a new SSD because the SSDs are thinner (7mm versus 9mm) so this helps to seat the new SSD in the drive enclosure. Only downside is that six quid is pricey for a piece of plastic.

Easy to Fit Spacer.
A good quality spacer which I required to stick on to a Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5 inch SSD so that the SSD fitted securely inside my laptop. No screws required, simply remove the tape and place on the SSD.

I don't understand it's use?
Not really sure what this actually does. I bought it to help with swapping an HDD with an SSD but probably bought the wrong thing? In the end I've returned it and bought something else that actually looks like it will do the job I need it for.

Works as it should
I purchased the spacer for a 7mm Saumsung EVO SSD that was going into my laptop to replace an 9.5mm HDD. The spacer was the exact perfect thickness. It's frame-like design also leaves space for air to reduce heat buildup in the SSD.I have had this for 2 weeks now. I will update my review if there are any issues in the future. But as of right now, this is doing it's simple job just fine.

A veces muy necesario
Adaptador de 7 mm a 9 mm, necesario para cuando realizamos el cambio de un disco duro tradicional de 2,5" a un SSD, éste no quede suelto en algunos equipos, como en mi caso con un Mac Mini de 2010.Lo he valorado con 3 estrellas porque cumple su función pero es realmente caro (7,50€) para ser un trozo de plástico con un poco de pegamento.
