My wife called me one day trying to help a coworker. She didn't know which cable was positive. These are the perfect answer to that. I would like to see they made of a size or 2 larger cable but they work just fine the way they are. I hooked them up backwards on purpose to test them out and they do work. I highly recommend them to all those mechanically challenged people out there. They are pretty wimpy and I would NOT recommend using on anything diesel bigger than a volkswagen beetle/jetta etc.

Bought them for my girlfriend and she has used them a few times now with lets be honest, in the moment when anyone is stressed out that there car will not start that a mistake can be made. Other wise been very reliable for the price.

shipped fast, packaged well; upon opening the product I noticed/heard some rattling noise. after unrolling the cables it appears that there are loose parts rattling around on the inside of the "smart" box portion of the system. I am not about to test it or hook it up. Not impressed with the craftsmanship of this item.Also, written instructions didn't match picture diagram for proper hook-up. And misspelled words throughout instructions and tag on cord.follow-up edit:after my initial review, customer service reached out to me via email and a phone call regarding my experience. I was very impressed with how polite and attentive they were to my issues. It's strange that that much effort and energy isn't put into the initial stages of their business plan.I have changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars.

Used this several times to jump my car. Love the fact that it can read the battery voltage. Also beeps if you connect it incorrectly. Would recommend.

All in all, I'm VERY satisfied with this product! The cables are not the most heavy duty, but they are not flimsy either. The best part is the voltage meter. It comes in very handy when checking your battery charge, or even your alternator out put! Great Idea from whoever invented this!

Even in extreme cold weather they remain flexible. Nice heavy clamps, the meter is a nice touch
