Now a theatre production! Dinosaurs have taken over the Earth! They're stomping and stamping because the planet is full of rubbish. Will they find a way to change things for good? Young readers will love finding out in this classic environmental tale from bestselling author/illustrator Michael Foreman. This re-edition of the bestselling 1972 book is a true fable for our time, and as relevant today as it was when it was first published. Review: Still a great read and if anything more relevant today than ever. - Classic book as relevant today as it was when I read it as a child almost 50 years ago, so glad to be able to buy for a new generation. An early introduction to environmental awareness and the need to care for our planet. Review: great - Dinosaurs and All That Rubbish (Puffin Books) A great storybook for children. Well illustrated with a clear moral at the end. It tells the story of a man who wants more and more and decides to travel to a new planet to find something better. Of course, he discovers that planet earth is in fact the one place he wants to be. Great for cross-curricular links. I used with my class, 'Pie Corbett' style and reinvented the story in their own way. A lovely book to read and to be read.

A delightful story that is relevant for current times.
My favourite book as a child and this delivers an amazing message that is so relevant to our world in its current state. Beautifully illustrated and an has dinosaurs in it so what more could you ask for? A genuine delight to read and I am so happy I can share this with my own children.

An environmental tale for children
I first bought this book more than 40 years ago for my daughter, then some years later I bought another for my son. Ten years ago I bought it again for a grandchild and just recently the latest edition for another grandchild. It is a moral tale about pollution, the environment and what we can do to combat it. Best of all, it is so well written: the writing flows like poetry, the illustrations are wonderful and the same as those in the early editions. My grandchild likes it very much. My only gripe is it is printed in China which must have affected it's carbon footprint.

An eco' classic for little kids and those that read to them.
A classic tale to help little kids - and big kids - understand whatโs happening to our wonderful planet. I bought several copies as presents when it first came out. Now, correct me if my memory tricks me but thereโs part of the tale missing in the current book: the man flies off to his star/planet only to find that itโs a barren rock but, from there he sees another pretty planet, so he flies to that - only to find that itโs the Earth that the dinosaurs have cleaned up. IMHO, the story works better with that bit included and I was a bit disappointed that it has been omitted. Is there still a print with that included, I wonder? That said, itโs still a worthwhile tale to help young minds to understand the folly of whatโs going on in the world. They Musk take notice before itโs too late.

Dinosaurs Save the World!
A beautiful book which helps raise awareness of climate change and pollution without scaring children. Good for most ages. I used with my year 5 class and they loved it - any book with dinosaurs is a winner!

Climate change for young people?
So pleased to find this book as it was my absolute favourite as a child 30+ years ago. It has quite a deep meaningful story that maybe unsuitable for some children but with the likes of climate change etc., maybe it helps a younger learner understand a few things.

GREAT BOOK WITH AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE
I adore this book. It has a great message and is perfect to adapt for performances and working with young children to explore the topic of recycling and caring for the environment.

classic book from my childhood
It's a great book with a lovely environmental message but with dinosaurs. My kids love it (albeit they're in a dinosaur phase) and we read it as a bed time story frequently.

Great story with environmental theme
Love this book which can introduce environmental concepts to young children. The cover makes it look weird, but it's actually a great little story.
