Replacement for Lift Gate
I bought this to replace a broken lift gate switch on a straight box truck. I like that this device allows me to operate the lift gate while stabilizing the load on the gate. The magnetic backing is helpful and it comes with a plastic caddy. I will not leave this in the weather and cannot attest to it being water proof/resistant. The plastic is sturdy and the unit feels well built as though it could survive multiple drops. This unit also includes a quick disconnect with a small pigtail if you want to remove the remote when not in use.

Quality
This controller was an exact replacement for my EZ Dump trailer. Easy to wire and extra cord provides dumping anywhere around the trailer. Magnetic inserts in the remote allow it to be placed conveniently, when not being used.

Wiring instructions could use an update but otherwise great product
Exactly as discribed aside from wire colors bit very simple to figure out

Perfect replacement
This controller was exactly what I expected. My dump trailer also uses a three-wire unit, as it is a gravity-powered descent (unpowered drop. The "D" button just releases the hydraulic pressure to lower the dump). Received it in two days. And the price was right. The 'tail' wires were shorter than those I was replacing, but I made it work.

Wired wrong
If it doesn’t work at first, maybe up no down or vice a versa. Take it apart and fix the wiring as the black hot line is on the wrong side. I spent 90 minutes troubleshooting before ripping it apart and solving the problem. Now everything is fine.
