From needle turning to using prepared shapes, the 50wt is thin and you can match your shape perfectly. 4. Machine applique' : Ideal when a very fine finish is desired. This weight disappears so your fabric is the feature. Use for a straight stitch, small zig zag, Blind hemming stitch, and Blanket stitch. 5. Machine embroidery: Love it! Great results every time. However, one of the spools had the thread coming out of two places in the middle of the top - no way to start using it. **Q: Where does the thread start pulling from?** A: The thread starts under the bottom orange piece. Gently twist the bottom piece off and you will see the end of the thread. **Q: What is Mako thread?** A: This thread is very high quality 100% cotton. Low lint & simply one of my favorite threads period for any quilting project. Google it for a more in depth answer. **Q: I am kind of bummed. Received my order today.
