She recommended it to her head of year at school for children with anxiety and her teacher agreed it was a good book. It’s not a self help book or ‘in your face’. It’s reassuring content which children can relate to. Im so pleased I purchased it. A little humour and an unusual story hooks the reader. It’s really funny, super cute, moving and heart warming! Everything a book like this should be. It also gave me great insight into anxiety. I have a classmate - I’m in a graduate program - who suffers from extreme anxiety and I thought about her the entire time I was reading this. It has helped me understand her more and also recognize anxiety in myself and others when it arises. I think almost everyone can learn from and relate to this book. We all feel anxious at times, even if it’s over smaller things. This book manages to address intense feelings in a light-hearted way. I actually roared with laughter at times reading this book. I also cried. But don’t worry! It’s not sad. It just tugs on the heart - in a good way. If you love strong, empathetic characters, animals and just sweet, fun stories, you must read this book. A great book for the whole family! I hope it becomes a movie.
