The motion senor that activates the lights has a capture area of about 3meters, once activated the twin lights will stay on for a minimum of 30-45 seconds. Sensor failure
I am very disappointed with these lights. They worked fine for the first couple of weeks but now the sensor which turns the light on doesn't work any more. This has happened to both the lights. Because they stay on for longer than similar lights they also eat batteries and as they need four AA batteries each it was quite expensive. Maybe I was just unlucky but I cannot recommend these lights.

Small but powerful
These are smaller than I expected but incredibly bright, I needed something to light up some dark steps over winter when my solar lights don't work and these are perfect, considering their small size they give off enough light to illuminate roughly 12 feet of path and steps for me. Very pleased with them.

Not Very Good
It is not very bright and you have to be stood right next to the PIR sensor for it to work. The quality too is very poor.
