1500 ft models is what people should aim for in small/mid size apartments as their base
If you're someone that is looking to get a dehumidifier for a small space. I would say that you should start with these kind of models and work your way upwards. The most important thing about dehumidifiers is not the advertised amount of space it can work with, but how much water can it actually pull out of the environment. When you get into units that are advertised to work for a much smaller space, the problem that you will run into is that the unit is simply not capable of adding any significant difference of moisture to your home, even if the space is miles below what the advertised amount of space they cover is. Another unit that I have has the capability to pull around 24oz of water out of the air in a 24 hour timezone, which this unit can pull 422 oz. This unit is 40 dollars more than that other unit. Furthermore, for 10 dollars more, you can get a unit that pulls 30 pints out of the air with a 2000 ft model, with some caviats that you should consider. At least from using this unit for the past couple of weeks, I like the fact that this unit is really easy to manuver around and pick up. The wheels on the bottom make it easy to be able to pull around wherever you want it to go, and it's pretty light in comparison to some of the other units on the market. The dryer mode for clothes also works pretty well as long as the clothes are not soaking wet, it will dry out the clothes in the time that it gives out. You have to make sure though to place the clothes into a small space, or it'll take longer to dry as it's in a much wider space. It will make the room warmer when using the drying mode. I haven't noticed this in the other modes, but I'd assume this to be true for those modes as well since the unit is pulling moisture out of the air while also using a small amount of heat when it's in operation. The only draw back is the storage capacity of the internal unit if you don't use a draining hose. It holds around 3 Gallons, which sounds like a lot, but you'll be emptying this multiple times a day if you're using this in a space with a lot of moisture. Now the unit does not recommend using the draining hose into any containers, but the reason why is because if you keep the bucket on the same level as the unit, it won't drain into the bucket because the water needs to fall through gravity. I have a 5 gallon container that I have around for my rowing machine to fill it up every now and again, and what I've done is place the container on a level below where the humidifier is located. You want to make sure however you set up the washer that the hose is able to naturally let the water fall into your bucket, or it'll just default to using the internal bucket instead. Overall, I'd say for the price to performance this is a great unit. If you have good airflow in the room it will get your humidity down to 45%, but without any good airflow it'll be harder for it to drop to those levels, as I've only gotten down to a bit below 50% otherwise with a poorly ventilated apartment. This is also a fantastic unit to save a bit of money to help dry your clothes in an enclosed space.

Little powerhouse
We've been going through a very humid period here in California but have never found the need for a dehumidifier. We wanted to get "our feet wet" with a smaller, reliable unit with good features, such as the ability to show the humidity level and a reliable timer system so we can "set it and forget it". Bonus would be the ability to pipe the water out elsewhere so we don't have to rely on the built-in reservoir. This little power house fit the bill -- small foot print, very quiet, and feature rich. It shows you the humidity level with a digital display, plus a nice bright LED that shows different colors depending on high, medium, or low humidity. It also has a timer for up to 24 hours of use, and most importantly -- it has a cut-off if the reservoir fills to the max, so it doesn't overflow! We've been running this thing continuously for a month since we got it, and it has not hesitated. It continues to pull full buckets of water out of the air over a day or two, reliably measures humidity, and stops when it is at full. I've never had a spill or drop of water that's not due to our own mistake in removing the reservoir and emptying it. If you are looking for a medium size, non-commercial dehumidifier, look no further. It has all the features you need, and just falls shy of the range of units which have phone app control. This one is fully "manual" and you can only control it via the buttons on the unit itself. This works for us as we are wary of having too many "smart" devices around the home which require an internet connection to work. This thing just keeps plugging away as long as you leave it on. Highly recommend!

Nice, quiet, small dehumidifier
I got to try this dehumidifier humidifier as part of a promotion. It arrived quickly and nicely packaged. I was surprised at how small it is, but thatโs totally my fault for not reading the dimensions. What I like about it now is the small size, as well as the option to use the hose (included) and put it directly into a drain. The dehumidifier we use constantly in the basement is larger and does an adequate job, but I noticed immediately that the musky smell in the basement shower area was gone this morning after pugging in the humidifier last night, so itโs obviously helping remove the humidity in that area. The plan now is to move it to an upstairs bedroom that has a smell we canโt seem to eliminate. Itโs extremely quiet and shouldnโt bother anyone. The tank is very small and will need to be emptied daily, but my outdoor plants will benefit from that fresh water. Donโt expect a heavy duty dehumidifier that will keep your entire basement humidity free, but I wouldnโt hesitate to recommend it for a small area.

NOT for 2,000 sq ft Home, Maybe a Bedroom
This one is going to be returned. I tried this in our 1,600 sq ft home for 2 weeks and it NEVER shut off, NEVER lowered the humidity more than 4% and that was while our A/C was on. It was compact and quiet and easy to setup and roll around, it just didn't have the capacity to lower the humidity from 65% to anything lower than 61%. Ideally we were looking for 50-55%. Amazon and manufacturer should not be advertising this as capable of de-humidifying a house (of any size). You've been warned... Update 7/26/23 For the first time ever, a Seller has reached out to me offering a replacement product after seeing that I was not satisfied with my original purchase, AT THEIR EXPENSE ! They offered a larger capacity model as a replacement. Who does that? Well, a reputable, honest and smart company does! Honestly as you can see in my original review I was only dissatisfied with the advertised capacity. The dehumidifier itself was great- compact, QUIET, and had the same features as much more expensive units. No problems with it, filled its tank every 6-7 hours, never stopped or hesitated and was easy out-of-the box. I did have to refuse their generous offer only because I had purchased a larger unit already. But it does illustrate how responsible this vendor is.... So get the right size ...and get it from this company! I'm impressed.

So far... not so good at all a
CONS- Unit is itsy bitsy. 1500sq feet is an outright lie. If you fall for this lie you deserve this product. You're looking at 300 Sq feet MAX this thing is made for maybe a bathroom or closet. Don't be fooled. Please. Believe me. Secondly it didn't read humidity accurately so how can it work? It's been jumping from 70 to 73 back to 70 back to 73 for hours when I know the humidity is >80%. It hasn't dropped a smidge with this running all day just flashes 2 random numbers repeatedly. I can hear the compressor kicking in but it ain't doing squat.. its doing the least amount of work possible. PROS- it's quiet... but its too quiet. You'd expect this thing to make noise. It's whisper quiet. AND it has collected some water in 14 hours. Maybe 1 cup of water but nowhere near the supposed 22 liters a day. I'm running this thing at 78 degrees with 85% humidity and I'm getting 1/100th of the stated rate. 1/100th!!!!!!! If I'm getting a cup a day, you need 92 cups to equal 22 liters. That's sad. The only people benefiting from this garbage product are people who don't actually need it. They put it in a room with low humidity and bam, they think this thing lowered it. It didn't. It couldn't. It won't. 15 hours and it went from 70% to 73%to 70% 6000 times. I hate this product. I'm returning this product. I'm not getting a replacement product from the manufacturer because we all know that will take 7 weeks and headaches. PLEASE take my advice. I'm doing you a solid here. This isn't 1500 sq feet or 22 pints!!!. It's 150 - 300 sq feet and 1 pint. Theres 7000 other models on Amazon that do 100 times better for the same price. This isn't the one. Keep looking. Pay it forward. Take care. I love you.

I liked this dehumidifier so much that I purchased three more!!!
I have purchased at least a dozen different humidifiers over the years but they all had issues like creating too much heat and/or noice, taking up a lot of space, being heavy and difficult to move around, not lasting long, or in some cases not removing much moisture from the air but then I found this dehumidifier that has none of those issues! It is much quieter and smaller than I expected yet still does a great job! I like the digital controls, the very easy to see indicator lights, and the ability to hook a drain up to it so there is no need to empty the collection bucket every day! I was also pleasantly surprised to see that if there is a power interruption, it comes back on and continues to dehumidify when the power is restored. This also allows me to turn the unit off with a smart plug when the windows are open and back on again when the windows are closed (with a 5 minute delay to avoid harming the compressor). Anyway, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE! THEY HAVE SO MANY GREAT FREATURES AND AT SUCH A GREAT PRICE THAT I ACTUALLY BOUGHT THREE MORE AFTER MY INITIAL PUCHASE SO I COULD HAVE ONE IN EACH ROOM RATHER THAN ATTEMPTING TO DEHUMIDIFY THE ENTIRE PLACE WITH ONE HUGE LOUD AND HEAT GENERATING UNIT! The first one has been running daily for four months now and the other three for three months without any issues at all!

Small Capacity
Firstly, this unit is a REAL WORKHORSE. Itโs not loud, as some have mentioned, but itโs one of 2 in ~2,000 sqft. basement. The other unit was pricier and has much larger capacity. But hereโs the problem: my basement is not extremely humid, but this workhorse has to be emptied EVERY DAY. IT TURNS OFF LIKE IT SHOULD, but going downstairs to empty it every day makes it unacceptable for me. I have a band rehearsal studio in my basement where this guy resides, and need to keep things dry. Running a hose to my sump pump for continuous running without having to empty is undoable because of its location. Great unit, but unacceptable for me. Godspeed.

Compact and efficient
I recently purchased 2 of these dehumidifiers and I must say, it works exceptionally well. This appliance has been a game-changer for me, especially in controlling the humidity levels in my basement. The dehumidifier effectively removes excess moisture from the air, making my living space much more comfortable. It has noticeably improved the air quality, reducing that sticky feeling during hot and humid summer months. One of the standout features of this dehumidifier is its ease of use. The controls are straightforward, and I can set my desired humidity level with just a few button presses. The water tank is easy to access and empty, and the unit even has a convenient indicator that lets me know when it's time to empty the tank. In terms of noise, this dehumidifier operates quietly, making it suitable for use in bedrooms or living areas without causing any disruption. L Overall, I couldn't be happier with my dehumidifier. It's a reliable and effective solution for maintaining optimal humidity levels in my basement. If you're looking for a dehumidifier that gets the job done efficiently, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

Not working as it should be. Not a single drop of water has been collected.
RH of my room reached 60-70% and this dehumidifier has not collected a single drop of water while in a video they are showing the tank is full of the collected water. The compressor might not be working and itโs only fan plus the actual room humidity that it is showing. I filed a claim for return but the seller is asking me to ship it back to US and I am from Saudi Arabia. Shipping cost is high and i have to pay for it which i find impractical. Looks like i have to say goodbye for my money.
