Good game, shame about the quality
First impressions of this game are that the build quality is pretty poor. The time tunnels don't fit onto the board very well, the dalek gets stuck in the track sometimes, and just the simple fact that the battery compartment was too large for the batteries to generate a circuit (which I did manage to fix it with a piece of cardboard to force the loose batteries together). After all the faffing about to get the board together and the dalek to work I did find the game reasonably enjoyable. The dalek moves about the board following a grove and each player moves a tardis around the board following a series of hexes. At various points on the board the two tracks intersect and if your piece happens to be there you get sent back to either the start or the nearest black hole. The winner is the first person to get his piece to the end of the track. The game is reasonably quick, it took about 15 minutes to play with 4 people (2 adults a 5 year old and an 8 year old) and as you don't always get sent back to the start younge players don't get too disheartened when the are captured. My kids enjoyed the game, but problems with the build quality leave me dubious about recommending it. If you do buy this game then it is better suited to younger children as the game itself is really quite simple, roll the dice, move that number of spaces and don't get hit by the dalek, first to the end wins.
