Anyone planning to buy this book hoping it includes photographs of The Supremes' magestic gown collection DON'T BOTHER! Despite this book being produced by the V&A and having the same title as the wonderful exhibition IT DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY PICTURES FROM THE EXHIBITION. Therefore for me purchasing this book was a total waste of time and I'm selling it straight on. Worst purchase I've EVER made!

this book is worth every penny you spend on it, the photos are so good, it has pics i even have never seen befor, lots of the covers for the singles i have as i took them of my mother...lol. but it is well laid out and the pic of the girls on page 44and 45 is just supreme. in this book and all the records and cds that have been released you can see why flo ballard said HONEY, WE IS TERRIFIC, nobody can have said it better. if you dont have this book yet go get it now. enjoy

Supremes In Photo Form.
If you want to look at many photos of the Supremes this is for you. If like me you were expecting some written accounts alongside then you will be disappointed. I was.

Nice to have ...
If you like the Supremes then chances are you will like this.Starts out with an interesting introduction from Mary Wilson. Its not a work of great intellect nor does it claim to be.What it has is lots of nice pictures presented alongside some interesting facts. It captures something of the times and does throw some light on to what was - by all accounts - a time of very fast social change. Its a book that can be read from cover to cover and also dipped into as and when. The book is well made and feels good to hold.I got this last year as a present for my 50th birthday and love it!

Coffee table Supremes book
I really loved the Supremes and Motown music when I was in my teens, although I wasn't born when most of the hits were made. I recently saw Mary Wilson in concert on her UK tour in March 2011 and this rekindled my interest and have started buying books and CDs.This is a mostly a coffee table type book of pictures and record/sheet music sleeves. If you are after gossip and different interpretations of who did/said what to whom, this is not one of those books, but there is plenty of that elsewhere, in-print and on the internet. However, this has great pictures and is nicely presented and I am glad to add it to the collection.
