Read the reviews before buying and thought the poor reviews were just bad luck. Went ahead and bought one of these and within two weeks the SMEG transfers started to unglue just like the reviews said it would. Returned for a new one and within 3 months the kettle failed to boil. Never had these issues even on the cheapest of kettles and considering how much it costs is just not acceptable. Regardless to say this kettle is totally overpriced and not worth the money.

Letters just transfers stuck on.

This kettle broke after less than 7 months. The on/off switch sparked when it was used and then stopped working altogether.Okay, this can happen but Seller doesn’t want to know. Only response is an impersonal ‘in the unlikely event you have a fault,’ contact the manufacturer. Poor kettle, terrible service.

It's Heavy. The Lid mechanism is useless - if you like pushing buttons 20 times to open the lid this Kettle is for you !-)You can seriously burn your hand on the body of the kettle due to the weight and the angle of the handle.The first one stopped working after a month or so and replaced by the retailer - nice and easy.The replacement has also now stopped working - went with a Bang and blew the house electrics.Now you've got to arrange to have it collected and replaced by courier.I've never wasted so much time over a kettle !.

Had this kettle for 2 months and the button on the lid as stuck. Do not waste your money. We've sent ours back. SMEG are robbing people charging this amount for a cheaply made kettle.
