The Trackace gauge is a laser accurate tracking gauge designed for checking wheel alignment at home. The clever design and low manufacturing costs enable the Trackace gauge to be sold at a low price that every motorist can afford - so well priced you can't afford not to own one! The gauge is auto-calibrating to each vehicle, the unique patented design means that as the gauge is set up on the car, the unit is calibrated ready to go. Poor wheel alignment causes excessive tyre wear, increased fuel consumption and results in less safe driving. It can also put extra stress and wear on bushes and components, adding to driving costs. Until now, checking wheel alignment has really just been a job for garages or tyre centres. Typically a simple alignment check costs around £35.00, so the Trackace pays for itself in just a few uses. With the rising costs of fuel, tyres and car maintenance and the poor state of the roads, it is extremely useful to keep a regular check on wheel alignment to make sure you are getting the most out of your vehicle. With a Trackace gauge in your garage you can check your wheel alignment on a regular basis and rectify quickly if required. If you are handy with the spanners then Trackace makes adjusting your tracking easy. Great if you are replacing any suspension parts and need to check the alignment when it's back together. It is extremely easy to use, quick and accurate to 1 minute (1/60th or 0.0166 degree). Almost anyone can use a Trackace laser wheel alignment gauge and then only pay for adjustments at a garage when they know for sure they are required as well as check that they have got the accurate alignment they have paid for. Easy to keep on the garage shelf - the Trackace is supplied in a compact super slim case. Approx size 75.5 x 18.5 x 4cm Uses 2 x AAA batteries (not supplied) Trackace - Simple laser wheel alignment at an affordable price.

Just the right toe adjustment tool for a diy'er
Tool has good quality, is precise and does what it says. I used to measure toe with a makeshift tool made of a wooden plank and some metal ears with adjustable screws. Had to jack the front wheels and rest them on 15 cm high wood blocks, then crawl under the car with that plank and measure from rim to rim. Fortunately, there will be no more crawling under the car for me. The greatest plus is that with this tool I can adjust the wheels to any non 0 toe in/out values. Rear wheels toe measurement works the same as for the front wheels if you needed to do it. The only issue is that the laser is barely visible in direct sunlight. I suppose they had to design it that way since otherwise, by being too strong it poses a health hazard if you accidentally looked into it.

great gauge, very good value, but beware when converting between degrees and mm
This is a really great design for a wheel alignment tool, and is inherently accurate despite being cheap. Bright sunshine makes it hard to see where the laser dot is going - the tool is easiest to use in the shade or indoors. The Trackace gauge correctly and precisely measures the total toe angle between the wheels. My only reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the converter table provided by Trackace with the product as well as on their website. This table converts between toe-in measured in mm (at the outer rim of the wheel) and in degrees, but it is easy to misunderstand it and get the values wrong by a factor of two:The most common definition of toe-in as a linear measurement is the decrease in the distance between the fronts of the wheel rims, as compared with the both-wheels-straight-ahead position of zero toe-in. However in the Trackace conversion table the mm values are for double that distance (i.e. the table assumes a definition of toe-in as the difference between the distance at the front of the rims and the distance at the back of the rims). For example, with 16-inch rims, if the rims are 3mm closer at the front than they were in the zero toe position, you have a total toe-in angle between the wheels of 0 deg 51 mins. However if you look up 0 deg 51 mins in the Trackace table you see 6mm, which effectively also includes the 3mm by which the rims are further apart at the back. User beware!

... not get it from here as did not look like amazon sold them any more
Did not get it from here as did not look like amazon sold them any more, excellent bit of kit, plastic, yes, but very solid and easy to set up, sunlight makes it hard to use though, wait for shade or a dull day.I used two pieces of hardboard a couple of feet behind the laser and the mirror, up against the wall and fence, so much easier to keep track of the dot, my drive is flat but gravel, no problem same result every time, checked it on asdas carpark, same results, checked it on recently garage tracked vehicle and same again, spot on, I shall be useing this and the gunson trackrite to do all my own tracking adjustments in future, A++++It comes in a fairly sturdy cardboard box but better still is a blow molded plastic case you will find on Eb**, which holds everything very securely and protected.

Excellent piece of equipment.
Superb piece of kit, easy to use, after using once or twice I can now check alignment in 5 minutes or less. Highly recommended!Worth every penny, and pays for itself after two uses.
