Pun and Games: Jokes, Riddles, Daffynitions, Tairy Fales, Rhymes, and More Word Play for Kids

Up until now, I have enjoyed Lederer's books; however, I found this one boring and barely funny.That being said, not only did I not enjoy it, but receiving it was (and still is) a nightmare. It was part of a shipment that was damaged when the carrier received it, so it was not delivered to me. Unfortunately, there is no place on Amazon's website for shipments that will never be delivered. The closest option simply tells you to check back later. So I used another option, which unfortunately, required that I agree to return the shipment--even though I never received it. As there is no way to contact Amazon otherwise, I have had to deal with FedEx, who has also been less than helpful. Meanwhile, I keep getting reminders from Amazon that I must return the shipment (which I did not and will not receive) or I will be charged for the replacement. Is anybody there? Is anyone listening? This has taken hours of my time, and I'm still at square one. THERE IS NO WAY I CAN RETURN A SHIPMENT I DID NOT AND WILL NOT RECEIVE! At this point, I must consider making no further purchases from Amazon until and unless this is resolved. I find this a completely unacceptable way of doing business.

My 8yo step-daughter and I read this together and both enjoyed it.We skimmed over some parts, but in general I found it a great introduction to wordplay for kids.

This book is more for a teacher/parent guide to assisting a classroom or child through the development of humor. I was hoping for more content of actual humor to share with my child, rather than examples to mark progress.

Ordered this book for a young family member and from what we read, I think she will enjoy the book.

Learning while playing has seldom had the jokes, language puzzles and word play challenges for learning like playing presented in a most interesting way..than this book. great ideas for use while traveling for for the young and older alike. Unbelieveable funny, original and entertaining while playing with words in all ways... Enjoy

Gift for my son. He loved it.

fun, maybe a little childish as i think it may be designed for children however I enjoy it. not very big but as i said it may be designed for like 10-15 year olds

bought this to share. kept them going for about a week but with year 3 class studying poetry and wordplay
