So from the above restrictions and annoyances: I figured that I'd put all my apps in one basket and took the plunge. (SPLASH!) I returned it back to amazon for a refund. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lovely compact device that is quite fast *by S***S on 11 December 2017* This was an upgrade from my older 1GB ram TV box that just didn't seem to cut it lately. Setup was simplicity itself - power it up and attach to the wired LAN (you can attach wirelessly of course, but I prefer wired) and you are ready to go. You have the option of using Google play to install some apps but if you want to just play back movie files from a local memory card then this is ideal. The supplied software does a good job of playing back and the quality of both sound and video is excellent. You are bettter off using your own wireless keyboard though as the supplied remote is fairly limited as they all are. Its fast, responsivve and very compact so it will slip in well behind the TV.
