I was worried about breaking the clips but figured out that I just need to apply a little bit of force on the top of the lid and it snaps shut. I assume there is a break in period and will close easier with more use. I've had it for about a month so far.It serves the purpose I need it for and aside from the fitment issue, it's a worthwhile purchase.*Updated review. Added a star. The normal lids work great. I ordered 4 hi lids for my wolf pack pros, and none of the 4 fit. I'm talking about 185 lbs resting on the top and trying to get the latch to close WITH A F-ING HAMMER! Still would not close. I actually injured myself. Called Front Runner, "Yeah, we've been having a lot of complaints. Just try really hard to close them, then just leave the latched in full sunlight FOR A FEW DAYS." As a woman I cannot close them.
