" Box Contains 2 x Mess Tins with Folding Handles Review: Great for festival cookong - USed for a festival and worked really well. Gets very hot on the handle, as to be expected. Much cheaper than in camping shops so very happy with this product Review: Soft aluminium - maybe it was my mistake to expect some kind of aluminium and (something) alloy, because on its own alluminium is just too soft, and it scratches when using cullery, that means youre really eating quite a lot of aluminium with your meal. which is not good, plus its not durable, looks lie you could break it very easily. well at least its light and cheap. ## Features - Trail aluminium mess set - A 2 piece anodized aluminium mess set with folding handles - Mess tin: 18.5cm x 14cm x 6cm - Mess tin: 16.8cm x 13.5cm x 5cm ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B005FW6IZE | | Brand | trail outdoor leisure | | Brand Name | trail outdoor leisure | | Colour | Metallic | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 39 Reviews | | Manufacturer | Trail | | Manufacturer Part Number | OL0046 | | Material | Aluminium | | Material Type | Aluminium | | Model Number | OL0046 | | Number of Pieces | 2 | | Number of pieces | 2 | ## Images ![Trail Aluminium Mess Set (Pack of 2) - Metallic - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51A9LLzI0DL.jpg) ![Trail Aluminium Mess Set (Pack of 2) - Metallic - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81f8M4ls3LL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for festival cookong *by A***R on 27 March 2017* USed for a festival and worked really well. Gets very hot on the handle, as to be expected. Much cheaper than in camping shops so very happy with this product ### ⭐⭐⭐ Soft aluminium *by L***Y on 8 April 2014* maybe it was my mistake to expect some kind of aluminium and (something) alloy, because on its own alluminium is just too soft, and it scratches when using cullery, that means youre really eating quite a lot of aluminium with your meal. which is not good, plus its not durable, looks lie you could break it very easily. well at least its light and cheap. ### ⭐⭐ They do the job *by P***S on 10 February 2014* They certainly do the job, but shouldn't be confused with similar pan sets used by the British Armed Forces which are far better made (heavier and harder metal with better finish) and available brand new for only a few pounds more than these copies. Finish is fine, although the upper edges on these pans are sharp and not rounded and they're very easily scratched during use. The handles on these pans can easily be removed/displaced, which leaves them liable to being misplaced or lost. They also bend very easily. The metal used is certainly not as resilient as that used on the original pan sets from which they're very obviously copied. My sincere recommendation is - rather than save money in the short term - pay a little more and invest in a genuine pan set that's better made and more than capable of providing a lifetime's worth of use. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/52004011-trail-aluminium-mess-set-pack-of-2-metallic](https://www.desertcart.be/products/52004011-trail-aluminium-mess-set-pack-of-2-metallic) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-21*
