Superb and very easy to use
I've been using this reverse osmosis (RO) water filter for a while, and it’s superb. The water quality is consistently high—clean, yet not flat, just distinct from regular municipal water. There’s a noticeable difference in taste. The instructions, though, are quite basic. The tank has a 5-liter capacity, but the RO process also produces some wastewater, which collects in a separate part of the tank. I believe the unit continues to refilter until it reaches a minimum water level, at which point only wastewater remains in that section. This led me to wonder if it’s better to fill up to the wastewater level or to the tank's max capacity.I saw some comments about the hot water temperature being slightly low and not instantly boiling - this is not an issue - just run some into a cup for a couple of seconds, discard, and then the water continues very hot. The convenience is not having to ever boil a kettle again.

Great countertop water filter ! I recommend.
Great filter, white color was not my preference but performance is so good and effortless I dont really care anymore.Waterdrop works great, it reduces TDS in my tap water from 260 down to 30, leaving some minerals there which make filtered water taste really good and not flat like proper RO systems out there.Single replacement filter should last approx 1 year and costs only 70£ which is great.Heats up water pretty quick too, 150/250/350/500/750 available water quantities are measured also pretty well (approx 20ml + worst case scenario)If you are after good kit with replacement filters that wont break you bank account, this is it !

Working well
I have been using the Waterdrop K19 for nearly four months now and I am very happy with it's performance so far. The K19 comes with a 5 litre feed tank and can dispense water at room temperature, 45, 85 and 95 ֯ C. It also has a UV filter inside to prevent bacterial and fungal growth in the filtered water. This is my first reverse osmosis filter, having previously used Brita and Zero Water filters. I wanted to be able to drink water free from heavy metals, fluoride, pesticides, PFAS, nitrate and other contaminants, and the K19 is certified to remove all of these. As the filter cartridges last approximately 12 months, I worked out that the Waterdrop K19 should be more cost-effective in the long-term. Upon unboxing the item I was a bit disappointed that instructions for replacing the filter were written on the lid, which affects the aesthetics of the product and is unnecessary, as full instructions come with every new filter cartridge and are also written in the user manual. However, the overall appearance of the unit is very nice, with a sleek, clean design. I really like the magnetic drip tray, which is quick and easy to remove and put back into place.I had some initial difficulties getting it up and running and kept getting the E04 error code, as the instructions don't make it very clear that when you insert the filter cartridge, you have to rotate it until it clicks firmly into place. I contacted customer service because I thought mine was faulty and they got back to me the next day with instructions to help me install the cartridge properly, which solved the problem. When you install a cartridge it goes though a flushing procedure to remove any chemical residues from the manufacturing process, and the manual advises that you should dispose of the first 12 litres of water to get the best taste. After this initial flushing and water disposal I still detected a slight chemical smell from the dispensed water (I have a very acute sense of smell) so I flushed it through with another tank full of water with the temperature set to 95 ֯ C to help remove any residues from the unit, and after that the smell was gone and the water tasted very good. The K19 has a 3:1 drain ratio, which is excellent for a reverse osmosis filter. This means that for every 3 litres filtered, you only need to dispose of 1 litre of waste water. For the 5 litre feed tank, this means you get approximately 3.75 litres of clean water for 1.25 litres of waste water, although I've found that I sometimes get a bit less than that before the L1 code is displayed indicating the water needs changing. The K19 achieves this ratio by recycling waste water back through the filter. Without the recycling of water you would constantly be emptying and refilling the tank all day long. I find that I have to change the water twice daily, which is acceptable.I was a bit confused initially how the recycling of waste water works as the waste water is ejected back into the feed tank, and I thought that this would reduce the quality of water that I am drinking, although this doesn't appear to be the case as the TDS of the filtered water stays pretty consistent at around 20. Feed tank water is pumped through the reverse osmosis filter and the clean, filtered water is stored inside the unit ready to be dispensed. The waste water is pumped back into the feed tank, and the feed tank water becomes more and more concentrated (salty) as it is recirculated through through the filter until the water level in the tank drops below a certain point, indicated by the L1 code on the screen, meaning the water needs changing. You should always dispose of the waste water before refilling rather than just topping the tank up with more water. I tested the TDS of the waste water to see if it can be used to water plants, but unfortunately it is way too high, so I have to tip it down the sink.Due to the lack of mineral ions in RO water it doesn't taste particularly nice unless youremineralise the water before drinking, which also makes it much healthier to drink than water devoid of minerals. I find that around three drops of ConcenTrace trace mineral drops per pint of filtered water is ideal to bring TDS to healthy levels, and also makes it taste lovely, like mineral water. Alternatively you can add a tiny pinch of Himalayan salt if you prefer. When not in use, all the lights turn off and it is silent, which means it won't disturb your sleep if you keep it in your bedroom. The only exception is when the L1 code is displayed to show that the water needs changing. When L1 is illuminated the pump keeps firing up every so often until the water is changed, which is quite annoying if it is in your bedroom and you are just about to go to bed. There is also no off switch, unfortunately, so the only way to get it to be quiet and turn it's lights off when L1 is displayed is to either change the water tank or unplug it at the socket. The only other slight bugbear is that sometimes the silicone cover of the waste water outlet inside the feed tank comes detached when I pour away the waste water and has to be put back into place. These have to be removed every so often for cleaning anyway. As I have very hard water I was worried that this would reduce the life of the filters, which are supposed to last around 12 months with typical TDS tap water. I was also concerned about limescale building up inside, so I choose to pre-filter my water with a Brita filter jug before adding it to the feed tank, which will hopefully extend the life of my filter, and four months in I am experiencing no issues and am very happy with my purchase.

Great when it worked
Was great for the first 6 months. Then it started operating loudly and taking 10-15 minutes to filter a round of water. I tried to replace the filter but no change. No response after contacting Waterdrop. Promising but ultimately disappointing product at this price point

Good countertop filter
Main downsides are:- need to top up water frequently, probably around 3-4 times each day.- Output is too high and while pouring water it splashes around- Sometimes 95 degrees is not enough- Max amount of filtered water at once you can do is 750ml, after that filter can't produce more for a couple of minutes and need to filter additional waterPros:- No need for plumbing- Easy to use- Energy saving on hot water- Clean water- Long lasting filter

E04 error
The taste is great and very easy to use. However after 3 weeks it started to give E04 error almost every time we use it. The pump is not stopping for 20min and locks itself. Ending up with restarting it.Update: after some email exchanges I returned the filter and received the refund. They also offered a new machine as well. Giving 3 stars due to the good customer service.

Worth every penny
Really like the ease of use, the water is so clean and tastes good, I live in a hard water area and the kettle was always scaled up, now it looks brand new inside, no scale at all. Iv not used the water heater much as it's not boiling water that comes out but it does work well. I would recommend this product as you just don't know for sure what's in tap water, I used to use a water distiller to clean the tap water but it was a hassle, this water reverse osmosis filter is so much easier I like it a lot !
