A dangerous design flaw in this leash led to the handle detaching from the rope on our first walk. The handle is only attached by what appears to be glue. There's no stitching. Not more than 30 minutes in on our first walk with this leash, my dog went running free across a busy street but thankfully was not hit by a car or injured. He is an 85 pound dog who pulled toward another dog (a daily occurrence on our walks, that we're working on!) and the handle just popped off and off he went. One of my scariest moments ever on a walk. I'd strongly advise people to avoid this leash until the design can be updated. I received a full refund from Amazon, which I appreciate. But I want other dog owners to know about this issue. We've been going on twice daily walks for the past year that we've had our dog and never had a leash break before.

This is a great leash for taking large strong dogs on a walk, especially lovable Labradors! The materials are good quality and where the leash connects to the carabiner is very strong in case you have an excitable dog. The rotating carabiner allows your dog to make jerky and sudden twists and turns without getting the leash all tangled up. And after using this leash this type of feature should be mandatory on all leashes! The reflective thread insert can help with the visibility of motorists at night, but I would still be extra cautious around cars.The handle itself is quite comfortable to hold and has a little ring attached to it. You can put your keys or tie poopie bags to the ring and it's nice being able to run with the doge without having these things in your pocket. It looks really great too. The black leash and gold metal parts make this leash look and feel high quality. And you can tell that a lot of thought and love was put into this designing this product, it's not like any other leashes you can get on amazon for this price.Overall it is high quality, looks sleek, the metal parts are gold and shiney. The nylon rope is very strong and recommended to owners of large dogs.

 Love how thick the leash is. Keeps it from jerking hard when my dog tries to pull and makes it more comfortable for both of us. Like how well made the handle is too. Rugged yet modern design.

I have a rescue Chiweenie who is VERY high energy. She’s learned a lot since I got her but she chewed through three leashes in the first couple months. I finally got this one, and it has stood the test of time and teeth. I wish it was a bit longer, but even that wouldn’t be as large of an issue if I wasn’t very tall (6’4”) and she is very low to the ground as a Chiweenie.

Not great. I've used this leash with my dog for about two months and it's already showing considerable wear. Please note that it is not solid rope, it's merely rope covering over a thin cord. My pup is an energetic terrier, but she's under 30 lbs and I've heard the inner cord start to rip multiple times. I'm upgrading her leash before she tears through it. I would not recommend for stronger dogs.

Got this leash delivered a few days ago and I’m blown away with the quality of it for that price. Our pup actually managed to destroy or last leash clasp, and I strongly believe that this will never happen again. Also, the leash is reflective! A major plus. Thanks Kingopet!
