Once again, Wyred 4 Sound offers a fantastic audio product at an affordable price! Based on the success of the Remedy and known benefits of jitter reduction in a digital signal, we're proud to introduce the all-new Recovery USB reclocker (or "RUR" as it's been coined on the Computer Audiophile forum). As it's name implies, the Recovery restores the original integrity of the USB signal. Usage couldn't be simpler: just insert the Recovery between USB source and DAC and instantly enjoy the benefits of a clean signal and much improved sonic quality. This very cost-effective upgrade is sure to be the new "no brainer" in digital audio! USB B input / USB A output. Ultra-quiet internal power supply (less than 13 μvolts). Isolated 5V power output. Femto clocking. Small, lightweight aluminum case with laser engraving. 5 year warranty. Included in package: Recovery unit, 6" USB A to B cable (Recovery to DAC), 9V external wall-type PSU What is the Recovery? The Recovery is an affordable, compact audio device that intercepts the USB signal between the DAC and computer to do two critical things: 1. Isolate and provide cleaner power 2. Supply a much more precisely clocked source for the USB encoded data. This "pre-conditioning" of the USB signal provides the DAC a much cleaner, truer signal resulting in noticeably improved audio fidelity. What can I expect to hear differently? You will notice a more focused and a better-placed sound stage with blacker backgrounds. Similar to the Femto upgrade on our DAC, we found that the much better timing allows for more accurate bass and finer details in the micro-dynamic regions. At first, this might seem like a more ‘forward’ sound but what you are hearing is more of what you have not heard in the past. As the Recovery breaks in, it will continue to improve. Recovery USB Reclocker is the real deal
I really like the RUR. I have what I think is a very revealing system: custom-built desktop with Intel i7-4790 @ 4GHz, 32GB RAM - iFi iPurifier - RUR - Roon/HQPlayer. My playback system is: Mytek Brooklyn DAC (power fed by HDPLEX 300W) , McIntosh MC2200 Preamplifier, McIntosh MC402 Power Amplifier, Martin Logan Aeoni speakers.I installed the RUR between my computer and Brooklyn DAC. I was streaming Tidal MQA through Roon, and a track I have heard more times than I can remember: Touch, by John Klemmer, came on and the first thing I noticed was the bite of Klemmer's saxophone. In all of the times I have heard that song before, I have never heard that much bite and in-the-room closeness as when I put the RUR in my system. I listened to the rest of the song and could pick out subtle details and cues that let me see deeper into the music. The cymbals had a real brass shimmer to them and the soundstage was both deep and wide. The word touch is whispered throughout the song and though I have always been able to hear it and understand it, it was as if I could hear the "T" and "CH" of that word for the first time. Everything seemed to come from a blacker background and I am using the standard wall plug. I am going to try the RUR with my LPS to see what kind of improvements, if any, that makes.I continued to listen to song, after song, some new, but mostly songs I know well, and the RUR gave me more immediacy on all of them. If the music was well recorded, you could hear that. If the soundstage was wide, you got that. If the soundstage was deep, you got that. The bottom line is: I've been staying up way too late at night enjoying my music through the RUR. Very impressive product for not a lot of money. Worth every penny.

Do not believe the hype!
It doesn't work. Plain and simple. After spending hours researching the unit on forums I have decided to give it a try. I wanted to like it... a lot. But i couldn't detect a slightest change in SQ in my setups. I seldom write negative reviews, but Hi-Fi is one of my core passions so here it goes.Absolutely no impact in my modest setup: AO optimized MAC MINI -> SOTA SMS200 Ultra (NAA) ->Topping D70 (DAC) ->Musical Fidelity M3i (Integrated Amp) ->B&W 803N (Speakers). Dedicated audio house AC line with PS Audio filtering.Same lack of audible impact in my office setup with Ipad (streamer) -> FIIOQ5 (DAC) -> Hot rodded (ultralinear mode + Auricaps recapped+silverwired) ASL1004 Tube integrated - >Hyperion 938.I have heard more SQ changes from cable swaps.Unit is provided with $4.50 wallwart PSU. It may work "better" with a dedicated $500 linear or battery PSU (what wouldn't in the present day digital audio chain?) mainly in the following scenarios:*If you have superhuman hearing*If you enthusiastically believe in snake oil products*If your current system is super resolving*If your current system is not resolving at allOn a serious note it probably was a decent product 5 years ago for a noisy HTPC / laptop driving USB inputs of older DACs without great USB implementations that are available today.

It Does Work!!
Fast shipping. Very easy to install. Eliminates the "noise" that appears when connecting my Asus Rog Strix Laptop to my McIntosh C47 Pre Amp via the USB ports. The box contains the Recovery Unit, a little (6") USB A to B cable and a 9 V 1 A external wall type PSU. As soon as this thing was connected, the difference in sound quality was very noticeable. No more noise. It's not an attractive device but it's meant to be connected out of sight. It is a great improvement in my sound rig, and for only 200 bucks! I recommend it

This product works as advertised.
The relocker was used between my computer and a Wyred 4 Sound DAC. There were clearly audible improvements in the width and depth of the sound stage, as well as improvements in details. Based on its performance, the relocker was a true bargain.
