Are the colours lightfast or will the ink fade with sunlight?

"Permanent and Waterproof fountain pen inks: Most fountain pen inks on the market are far from permanent simply because there is no reason for them to be. However, sometimes the writer needs a permanent and/or waterproof ink". I have copied this from the website of The Writing Desk Company in Bury St Edmunds. I buy all my inks from them but have had no reason to check for permanency/fading. Would suggest you contact them as I have found them to always be extremely helpful ad knowledgeable about their wares. Good luck! PS Your Smoky Quartz ink looks most interesting! Can it be used for a feather quill pen to dip?

I would think so, yes. I used mine in a reusable ink cartridge inside a fountain pen.

What colour is Smoky Quartz?

An unsual shade of brown - away from the ordinary - my daily ink.

Is this a proper red or a pinkish red ink?

Very watery red-pink. Had to return it. The blue version though is lovely
