It does much better job than the usual sharpeners that you suction on the table that always break after a year (just after the warranty's expired). This is not so fast but the results make up for it. Just remember! If you have a smaller knife don't despair! Just put it on a cutting board with the sharpener off the cutting board and you can sharpen it as if it was full size!
