## Description

desertcart.com : Klippermate Badminton Stringing Machine : Racket Stringing Machines And Tools : Sports & Outdoors

Review: Excellent Product - I bought this Klippermate M140 for $179 + $39.99 S&H. It weighs about 18-19 lbs out of the box. I received it in 2 days after ordering it online through desertcart. It comes well packaged with the Stringing equipment, Awl, Two clamps and a plier as shown in the picture along with 1 white badminton racket grip, two strings (each 33 feet), one of them is the darker 0.8mm thick string and the other is a white synthetic string which is 0.7 mm thick. All are of very good quality. Apart from this, there is booklet that gives you directions on how to string a tennis racket (no directions for stringing a Badminton Racket, not to worry... read suggestions below). The Machine has a conversion scale on it which will indicate where to place the dead weight on the column to get desired Badminton string tension. The scale goes from 10 lbs to 32 lbs (mostly in increments of 1 lb upto 16 lbs and then in increments of 2 lbs upto 32 lbs). The scale on the dead weight rod is of very good quality. The dead weight rod and the dead weight is of high quality chrome finish. The two support columns which will be used to clamp either end of the badminton racket head comes with plastic clamps that have soft wooden type material, that prevents the racket head from getting crushed as you tighten the clamps over the head. The base plate is painted yellow and everything else on it is polythene glue stickers which are well glued to the surface. All of the metal parts that appear black are well painted with a matte finish to it. Over all the quality of workmenship is very good. This product is made completely in the United States. This machine will probably last a life time. I have had this stringing machine for about two months now. I have strung about 6 rackets during this time. Two of them @ 22 lbs , 2 of them @ 24 and other two @ 26 lbs. This being a constant tension machine, the tension stays even through out the racket within +/- 1/2 lb. Recommendations: I would suggest you to buy the stand that Klipperusa offers (separate) or have a counter top at chest height over which you want to have this machine, this will come in handy when you are stringing, because it took me upto 3 hrs the first time I strung my racket and now I am down to an hour on each racket. I pushed myself once, I got upto 30 minutes per racket, but no less than that. The greatest challenge would be the start of the mains and then tieing off the mains. I would also suggest you to buy an extra clamp either from klipperusa or from Yonex. I how ever have been able to get away without it, but I might buy one sometime soon. Also, there is complete Badminton Stringing information in the form of pictures on Yonex website, I would highly recommend you to have this handy as you start stringing. This provides you with information on start of mains, main tie off's and start and tie off's of cross strings in a picture. This has helped me a lot. Also, recommend you to buy yourself a pair of safety glasses because as you load the strings if the machine is at chest height, it is just not safe to have the string loaded on dead weight, also as you weave the string, you play with the free end of the string and this can sometimes get very close to your face. Also, there is a 30 minute video on Youtube showing how to string using Klippermate M140, have it handy, It will help. The guy in the video suggests a contraption for starting the stringing, this has helped me a lot, I would recommend you use this too. The Awl is too big for use on a badminton racket, so please refrain from using it. A flash light will be handy when trying to pass the strings through the holes in the racket head at the clamps. I hope this review will help everyone looking for a detailed description of this product.

This is not badminton string machine..

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ the quality is good and look like can last long time
*by A***W on May 17, 2016*

the quality is good and look like can last long time. this product is not totally for badminton racket. it is for tennis and badminton. the screw that hold racket is kind of big for badminton. when i finished string and take off racket, the screw cut the string. so be very careful when take off the racket. if they can make that screw smaller for badminton racket, that will be five stars.
