A winner. Easy to organize, holds camera equipment securely, and well-balanced as a backpack
My husband was a professional photographer when I met him, and even after a few career changes his enthusiasm for photography has never dimmed. He owns an impressive amount of photography gear, and our favorite vacations always include some sort of picture-taking outing.Years ago, we bought a Lowe-Pro shoulder bag that we've carted all over the world. That's been a great bag -- but he likes this one better. The Yoots backpack holds a lot. For our last trip, he carried his Canon EOS 5D Mark III , a 17-40 lens, and a telephoto zoom. The bag also held chargers, cables, and a Cam-Ranger, with his iPad on top. And there's a bit of space left; the Yoots could probably hold another two lenses. It's well-organized and flexible. The Yoots is entirely adjustable, with pockets that can be shifted around to suit your needs. He moved the zippered pocket from one side to another, for instance. Plus, there is an attachment point for a tripod, so the tripod hangs off the back of the pack rather than sticking out to the side. That means you aren't hiking around with a tripod about to, say, stab your wife in her eye.The organization isn't only a matter of "where to put stuff;" that also includes "how to get to it." Everything is laid out so you can see what is inside. You don't need to pull out a camera to get to something stored in the side; just lay it down and pop it open. It's a comfortable backpack to wear, and well balanced. Even though the Yoots holds more equipment, it feels lighter. That may be a function of it being a backpack rather than an over-the-shoulder bag. But the Lowe-Pro would put his arm to sleep if he stuffed it full. Plus the Yoots has a waist band and padded shoulder straps. If you're going any distance (such as changing terminals at Heathrow), the bag doesn't get in your way.Note that you have to take the pack off to get off to access the camera equipment. That means you can't ask your wife, "Can you grab that cable from my pack?" while still wearing the bag. On the other hand, that's a security feature; someone can't steal anything while you're in a crowded subway. Also, the body-side access gives a bit more protection from a light rainstorm. (There's also a cover to pull up from the bottom to cover the pack in inclement weather; we haven't had reason to use it.)I usually try to find something to criticize, because nothing's perfect. But so far we haven't found anything we dislike. The bottom line is: This is an excellent camera backpack. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Ok quality bag, not waterproof and a bit small.
First off, the other reviewer doesn't understand how to use this bag (see picture). It's extremely fast to access. With the waist strap attached, you can pull your arms out of the arm straps and swing the bag around to access your gear. If you're somewhere wet, this is HUGELY beneficial. Having the zipper opening against your bag reduces the odds of water getting in. Also, if you take the bag off, you can lay it on wet ground and open it. When you put it back on, the body side is dry. If this opened from the back, you'd have to lay the body-side on the ground meaning you get wet/dirty when you put it back on.If you're taking photos anywhere other than your backyard, a body-side opening has many benefits.Sadly, if you're somewhere wet, this bag is probably not going to hold up. It failed my water test. One of the main things I photograph is humpback whales. So i'm out on a boat a lot and that means trying to protect gear from sea water. I currently use a LowesPro bag, which has been awesome. The construction of the Yoots is not up to snuff with the Lowespro bag. Since I'm on a boat, the bag will frequently sit on the deck of the boat with water sloshing around. If the Lowespro bag sits in water long enough a little water will seep in, but we're talking about it sitting in a pool of water for an hour. The Yoots bag didn't last 5 minutes and the inside was soaked. I let it sit in about 1/2" of water and it didn't take long for the water to be inside the bag. Total fail for a pro camera bag.Granted, that's a tough test and if you're not shooting in inclement weather a lot, it might not be that big of a deal. The bag does seem to be reasonably well made, but I wouldn't trust it hiking if there's a chance of significant rain. And definitely wouldn't trust it on a boat.On the plus side, there's plenty of padding and if you've only got one camera body, it's a good size. There's not enough room for two camera bodies and multiple lenses. I've got a 5DmiV and 5DmII and will usually bring both, so a bigger bag is necessary.Overall this is an ok bag. I'm sure it would hold up under a light drizzle or something. So if you're hiking somewhere dry or with light moisture, it seems like a nice bag.

Comfortable, secure, but with a body side zippered access, this is not a quick assess bag
I am not a photographer. But my wife is and a good friend is attempting to become a professional photographer. So I am carried several different bags as a photo assistant and I picked up this one to give to my friend. The main negative is that I thought there was side access to the bag. The side access is to cards or batteries, which is helpful. But the main bag access is through the body side of the backpack. So you have to really take the backpack off to access the extra lens. It really depends on the type of shooting you are doing whether this will be a good set up or not. If you are trying to frequently and quickly change lenses, then this bag will probably frustrate you. If you are more concerned about keeping the lenses secure, then this might be exactly what you want. There is a lot that I like about the bag. It has shoulder, chest, and waist straps. If you are hiking, you can keep the bag very secure and it is comfortable to wear. There is also a built in rain cover at the bottom of the bag, so the bag will stay reasonable dry and you will not lose the rain cover like you would if it were completely detachable. The pocket area has adjustable sizes so that you can keep everything secure. There is also an internal secure zippered pocket that you can keep loose items in place (charger, cords, etc.)The main part that will make or break this bag is whether you like the zipper to the main compartments on the body side of the bag. If you do, this is a very good bad. If you do not, then this very good bag will not be what you are looking for.
