The songs on this double CD package helped create the very foundations of rock & roll. Today, the music Buddy Holly made with the Crickets all those years ago remains crucial, classic, and utterly timeless. Songs like "That ll Be The Day", "Oh Boy", "Rave On", "Not Fade Away"... have been performed by rock & roll immortals, including The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton and, right up to date, by Florence + the Machine.

A good selection from this prototype-Sixties band
Well-presented double album, with not only the Buddy Holly-era Crickets material (the best - they weren't the same without him!) and quite a lot of the later material. A very relevant collection and excellent value even if some of the later tracks (according to your taste) aren't all that memorable.

GREAT,GREAT,GREAT!!!!!!
Great music from the late Buddy Holly's backing group, still keeping up with the same 'style' that Buddy hadin the 1950's, including the "original" version of "I fought the law" which was a huge hit in 1966 for theBobby Fuller Four, one slight complaint is the tracks on the cd are in a completely different playing order tothe track listing on the sleeve??, strange!!!,

Excellent Compilation
Brilliant Compilation of the Crickets Hits featuring all 5 vocalists.Particularly like Buddy Holly and the very underrated Earl Sinks who sang several of the Lead Vocals on In Style with the Crickets.

Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Great Buy. The best tracks are when Buddy Holly is leading but all are worth a listen & from a great rock & roll era.
