Wharfedale Pro SL824USB Studio/Live Mixer with 8 Mic Channels

Writing this review as I could not find one prior to using the desk (hired - not bought from Amazon)PLEASE NOTE** Impression after ONE use only:.The desk as the standard 3-EQ mixes, fx mix, Aux and faders etc per channel.Sound wise, I thought the overall mixing for vocals, guitars and keyboards took a wee while to set to what I was ok with - (that's the subjective part)and I always mix the gain to determine the best peak levels of each input signal. With a preamped guitar,lined in, getting the right gain/peak level took a bit of tweaking but I got there - nothing unusual here when using new gear I know, but tweaking the gain control was a bit harsh at the smallest adjustment (cheap pots??)..What I did like?:lightweight,Did all I was physically able to do..What I didn't like?:No mid sweep EQ for vocal channelNo footswitch for FX - only an on/off button on desk - not good when working as a solo pro act, having look for and to press the button after songs is NOT GOODFX are seriously limited with no ability to alter parameters (Grrrr)Not a problem, but the faders felt a bit wobbly and cheaply made - but did not impact on the gig.Unit felt and looked like a budget unit - and in my opinion, well over-priced given it's limitations.Would I buy one?:No - not with the negative issues I found:.Would I recommed it?Not for a Solo performers like myself, I can't comment for DJ use. *** But as always - try for yourself***
