Peaceful and lovely reading
In today's busy world where making money, spending them and altogether doing as much as possible in as short as possible time, a book like this one is a rare and welcome gift. It brought with it a special calm and wellbeing and I loved every minute I spent in Kilfinn, a small village not far from Dublin.Mainly the story is about Molly and her struggle to maintain beautiful large estate Mossbawn after her husband David's sudden death. They have done a lot of work on this 200 years old family home with its gardens, fields and forest but it takes a lot of work for Molly alone, and it's expensive. But when she takes a further look at the old neglected rose garden and the gardner's cottage, things start to happen. In Killfin village Gina is working in Russels's café when its owner Norah has a stroke with little prospect of ever working again. Could Gina perhaps buy the place and thus both get her own business and save an old and popular meeting place in Killfin from disappearing.Molly's niece Kim has lost both job, boyfriend and flat in Dublin and comes to Mossbawn to recuperate and start a new future. And there are many more.We follow them all through their ups and downs in the cozy little village of Killfin. It seems such a nice place, a place where people help each other and where it seems easy to make new friends. And Mossbawn has its own aura of beauty, situated rather secluded and surrounded by beautiful gardens where Molly spends most of her time. Visitors are always welcome for a cup of tea and a bite to eat. A true haven it is and Molly hates thinking of maybe having to sell it.I shall not spoil the story by giving away more, but it seems that where there is a will there is a way. Not only for Molly, but also for her friends. In her usual warm and true style the author has written a wonderful story which is hard to put down. Much recommended and enjoy!
