Does NOT keep Ring door bell charged as advertised. Definitely do not recommended!!!! Purchased Oct. 2024 and it NEVER worked well and is completely junk in April 2025.

I bought this based off other customers' reviews and they did not disappoint!I followed the instructions provided and double-checked an installation guide via YouTube to ensure I connected it to my Ring Video Doorbell 2 correctly. I positioned the panel where the sun hits directly but had to wait overnight to actually see the status updated on my Ring app that a solar device was connected and charging my Doorbell. This was because I installed it in the evening when the sun was nearly setting.This solar panel works if you install it the right way. I am very pleased with this purchase!

This solar charging is working with my Ring Doorbell camera. I haven't had to pull the Ring battery out to recharge it since installing the panel. It keeps my batteries at a steady 90% plus charge.The only drawbacks are: it that when I check the Ring doorbells health, it sometimes doesn't recognize the solar charger is connected. But it still keeps it charged. Plus, the solar panel and Ring camera do not mark the connections as + or -. If it doesn't work, switch connections. This solar panel works with my Ring Doorbell 3. There was a minor issue with the wiring but it still charged my ring device. I did notify customer service in case I have issues in the future and they got back to me immediately and made sure I was a happy customer. This is a company who stands behind their products and I am happy with the purchase.

I connected the solar panel to my ring video doorbell. I connected it and it was quite tricky because the wire is a little bulky. It's receiving sunlight as you can see, however it doesn't charge my ring. It is actually estrange because as you can see, it says hardwired instead of solar. I'll keep it connected for a few days and provide an update if needed.11/23 update: the solar panel didn’t work at all! Didn’t maintain the charge worst charge the battery. The panel has been expose to direct sunlight the whole time. Would recommend. I started a refund claim.

Doesn’t really keep it charged. If anything it’s still dying like normal like it’s not even there.
