Solty Rei Complete Collection [DVD]

It's not as bad as I remember when I saw it the 1st time long time ago but it was a fun way to spend a few hours seeing this

Roy Revant is a Bounty Hunter whose daughter Rita went missing twelve years ago during the mysterious and disastrous event known as Blast Fall and now Roy takes out his feelings of rage and guilt on the criminals who survived when his daughter didn't. Things begin to change though when a mysterious girl falls from the sky and begins to follow him around.This set includes all twenty-four episodes of the Salty Rei as well as two bonus episodes. I did enjoy watching the series but I must say that it does take a while for it to get going. The episodes on the first couple of discs are somewhat episodic and overly comedic in places but once the series gets to the third disc things begin to improve with the shows story arc taking centre stage and the action, drama and emotion are all increased.The animation of the series was generally good for the most part and the English dub is also of a reasonable quality. Despite taking a while to get started, the storyline is interesting and at times it did become somewhat compulsive viewing. Having said that though there were a few things that could have done with a bit more explaining in places, but these are generally minor problems that can be easily overlooked.With a good story and some interesting characters, this series is well worth four stars.
