Blunted all of the plastic ones and still couldn't open my ipod photo. Incredibly hard to open. Maybe mine was more stubborn than others. I also purchased a separate set of plastic pries very similar to this one that came with an ipod battery replacement. Blunted those also without ever even getting one of them in between the plastic and the chrome halves of the ipod case. IN the videos they look so easy. It wasn't so in my case. The plastic is meant not to damage the case but it also blunts fairly easy and then the tool becomes useless. No plastic could get in between my stubborn ipod's case halves so Finally I used the flat metal screwdriver in this set to pry the ipod open and also to hold it open while I used the sharp tip of a knife to slide it around the opening. I did manage to cut my hands in the process. I don't recommend this method, but if you're like me and run out of options - Be very careful! To have more control over the sliding motion I needed to hold the knife closer to the tip of the blade. Put duct tape around the blade of the knife where you grab it to protect your hand. The metal screwdriver did damage the plastic part of my ipod but at least I was able to open it. Whatever the reason Apple did not use a more user friendly opening method on these devices (like screws), it's not a good enough reason.

I got all of the pieces and all seemed to be well-made, the plastic tools were kind of cheap looking and feeling (Hence, the amazing price). Now, the ONLY reason the product got 4 stars is due to the fact that I think the Phillips screwdriver stripped two screws in my phone. I needed to replace the flex cable and I never could because I couldn't get past two different screws. To be fair, I did buy this phone used so it's possible that the screws were already stripped from someone trying to get inside the phone with improper tools. But I don't think that was it because the flex cable only needed repairing quite awhile after I bought it and that is usually the most common problem with an iPhone.

I bought this kit prior to making some pretty extensive iPhone 4s repairs and I couldn't have asked for much more. The tools are very well made which was a surprise to me considering how inexpensive the kit was. I would highly recommend this kit for anyone who needs to do some work on their iPhone. Whether it's a small or large project, you have everything you need right here.

Decent set, the screw drivers, I could have used a few smaller ones as this set does not cover an extremely wide range. other than that the other pieces are great.
