The same material that is used in bullet proof vests. Also labeled "Super Thread", Kevlar has a working strength of 8 lbs. You can't beat it for Glow Bugs, spinning hair or big saltwater patterns. 50 Yard Spool.

Strong, but not colorfast
This thread is super strong. You can cut yourself with it if you try to break it with your hands. I even had trouble cutting it with a cheap scissors. It's great for reattaching buttons, especially on high-stress areas like pants. The fabric or button will probably fail before the thread ever does.On the down side, it's not very colorfast. I used the thread to do some mending, and after about a month's use, the color is completely gone, revealing the native yellowish color of Kevlar. The thread is still intact and holding quite well, it's just not black anymore.

Been there?
Needed a belt that was a custom size. The middle of nowhere. Big needle, Kevlar thread, neoprene adhesive, bada-bing!, bada-boom! Home again.

Seems Strong
Seems strong. Used it to repair dog bed of dog that could RIP anything apart. So far, it's holding.

Strong but not durable
Take a string and try to break it, you'll have trouble. Indeed very strong! But I guess the fibers aren't twisted well or something, with actual outdoor use it deteriorates and eventually falls apart not quite like rotten manilla but almost. So, I guess, don't use it for outdoor or dynamic applications.

Wonderful stuff!
Amazing product! Super strong!!! Couldn’t break it with my hands alone.

stronger than expected
I read the reviews warning you to not try to break this by hand without a glove on, and I am glad I did. This is strong enough that it will cut into your skin before it breaks. I have purchased more for camping repairs, this is good stuff.

Thin but strong.
Very strong thread. I was thinking of using it for main line. Very thin for the strength. Jim

Where did the color go?
So it arrives and is in fact, black in color. Until you actually start to use it, and it turns white. Maybe I got a bad batch, but it kinda sucks.
