Can this see through metal siding though?

No, it can not detect through metal sliding.

Does the walbot diy 2 scan on lath, plaster concreate as well as the walbot diy plus?

Walabot DIY 2 scans drywall only.

Is it really made in China?

Yes, it's made in China but gets shipped out from the U.S.

Our walls are 2 sheets of 3/4" drywall plus plywood. Will it work through this thickness?

I have used it over 7/16 osb plus 5/8 drywall and it worked. It is an amazing piece of technology. However, I have used it in those exact conditions. My gut says it will work. Contact Walabot, they have a great customer service department.
