Over the years, I have learned two things about tea and tea reviews. One is that whether you like a tea or not is very subjective. What I like, you may not, and that's totally valid. The other thing I've learned is that tea, like vintage wine, seems to vary from batch to batch. On several occasions, I have had two boxes of the exact same brand of tea. One box produces wonderful, rich tea. The other produces weak, insipid tea, or acidic, astringent tea. I suppose the difference might be due to differences in the tea from different fields as the harvest progresses, but I don't know for sure. I just know it's happened to me several times. You should know, then, that my review of this Lyons Gold Blend tea is only my opinion and is based on the first and only box of it I've ever had. My favorite teas are normally PG Tips, Typhoo, and Yorkshire. Lyons gold compares very favorably with them. In fact, it tastes like a cross between PG Tips and Yorkshire. I'll definitely be reordering and would recommend this tea to anyone looking to try a new tea.

I first tasted Lyons Tea in Ireland, I have been hooked ever since. I am so glad I can get it.
