Tried everything before this...
Quick background -I had my bathroom refurbished last year and prior to the refurbishment I'd tried to paint my shower tray in a vain attempt to improve the look of my bathroom. Anyways I rather unsurprisingly ended up making a mess and after trying to remove most of it, I drained most of it away down the plughole. Until the time of the refurbishment, some two months later, I'm guessing the paint solidified and created a blockage quite a way down the pipes.Once the bathroom had been done and I started using the shower there were inevitable problems with the drainage and I started trying to clear the drains. Initially I used high street products and believe me, I tried them all. Plungers too, including two off Amazon, and all to no avail. At this point I had two options left before calling out the plumber to see if he could sort it -1. One shot (available on here), which is an acid based cleaner.2. This product.I didn't fancy one shot at all given that it is very acidic and there have been horror stories associated with it (including in the news with that little girl being burnt after it the acid burnt through the pipework) so I went for this product instead in spite of its rather high price. Turns out this was the best move I've ever made and I haven't needed to use anything else since.Ok so the product itself -It's easy to use and fits different types of plughole. I didn't need to change it on receiving as I have a large plughole so I needed the full sized rubber seal that comes ready to use with the product. The instructions aren't the best really but basically you place the product over the plughole and fill the can at the top with water. Then you simply push it down and the gas canister forces the water down in spurts. You get about six one second pumps before it's all gone. This is all you need though.I'm writing this four months after purchase and my drain is still running like a dream so clearly it's the business. Don't let the price put you off, this really is a quality bit of kit.

The only thing that has ever worked for me!!!!!
After having a very slow draining bath for months (if not longer - home maintenance is not my strong point!), and buying every product in the supermarket, diy store and online, and regardless of how much I spent, the problem would just not go away. I honestly could have probably paid for a plumbers visit twice over the amount i have wasted on 'miracle' products, that did absolutely nothing.I was prepared to put this into the pile of failures, but in for a penny and all that.Easy to understand instructions, have at least 10cm water in the bath, cover overflow with a cloth and put plunger over drain and press firmly, it blasts a wave of water through the pipe to clear any blockages. It didn't work after the first, and the instructions say if it doesn't work after the third you will need a plumber, but after the second blast you could here the noise of the water rushing through. It has a lemon scent so is pleasant and doesn't have that horrible chemical smell. A small word of warning - I didn't hold the cloth over the overflow tightly enough, so a blast hit my finger, which felt like it was burnt, but actually I think it was just the cold water and co2 from the canister, as its fine now.I now have a drain that clears, for the first time in forever, and as the can delivers up to 15 1 second blasts, I have enough if and when I need to do it again, so for the price, its excellent value and I will definitely always have this on hand.

I really wanted to clear my washing machine waste outlet pipe
This is O.K., but hasn't really done the job. It is hard to make a seal with awkwardly placed outlets. I really wanted to clear my washing machine waste outlet pipe. It is better, I think, but not completely clear. Nothing I couldn't have achieved with a hosepipe.

Be careful with push-fit piping.
Rather powerful, blew part of our plastic push to fit waste pipes out of its joint when I used it on our slow emptying shower. Unfortunately I didn't notice until it started raining in the kitchen. On the plus side, I did therefore get to see that the blockage was caused by old strips of sealant that the bathroom fitters must have tried to wash away - no wonder none of the chemicals I'd used to clear the blockage had worked. If I use this again, I'll be sure to check the pipes are intact before running water again.

Very dangerous - please be careful. As i had ...
Very dangerous - please be careful. As i had tried a sink unblocker prior to this the Power Plumber exploded the previous unblocker causing the acid or gel whatevere was in the first unblocker all over me causing burns to my face tummy and feet. Make dure you wear glasses and protective gear if you purchase this product.

Didn't work for me
Looked like it could work, unfortunately it did not. Waste of £24 including next day delivery. Back to the good old plunger.

Worked Like A Miracle On Blocked Sink!
I live in York and the flooding was very bad in December. I was away over Christmas and came back home to a wash basin in my room full of sewerage. Nice. I managed to get rid of that with a plunger, but for the next several months the basin stayed very slow draining, until eventually it stopped all together.I tried every chemical solution going, including the expensive stuff, and the best result I got was that the sink would resume draining slowly for a few days, before stopping completely again.I bought the Power Plumber as a last resort. I wasn't at all convinced it would have any affect. Within 20 seconds of unwrapping the Amazon packaging, my basin (which had been full up to the overflow) was empty!! I've run both taps at full tilt and the water drains straight away! Everything is now hunky dory. All I used was a single one second burst (I was expecting to have to empty the whole can, the blockage was so bad -- and even then I only expected the same partial results I was getting from the chemical stuff). Word of warning, though. When the instructions say to cover the overflow firmly, they MEAN firmly. I'm a pretty strong guy and the sponge I was using was still forced out of my hand and I ended up soaked. Small price to pay!!
