Without many reviews I was skeptical, but is an amazing device!
Sure, there aren't many reviewers covering this and there still aren't any official cases for the device. But it does beyond just deliver for the form factor and asking price. From first impressions; Pros: Build quality is solid, feels premium, good accessories (loved the two bands to hold with other devices), Detailed, Low Noise Floor (Virtually Quiet), Warm (Musical) and Powerful. There is a noticeable boost in high gain. High gain pushes more energy which is more emotional (enjoyable), whereas Low gain seems more technical (a bit dry comparitively). Crossfeed has a noticeable affect, turning it off and on suddenly a few times (A/B testing) got me a bit dizzy as it caught me off guard, at least I know it works. It does have a few second delay in between the switch stopping and resuming playing, which helped my brain prepare for a sound change or I can imagine I would have had a bad headache without that gap. I wouldn't advise messing with that setting without being seated (repeatedly switching), as I know some people can be sensitive to sudden sound changes. Cons: The buttons aren't premium feeling and can rattle. The Current settings for my gear offered very little customisation to sound (from what I can hear, the high settings accentuate a U shaped signature, but just barely barely noticeable). The middle setting is too little a change to count as a step. But that's maybe asking too much from a device - it was an additional feature, don't think it worked with my gear, but maybe has more of an affect on different equipment. So mileage may vary. Aside from that (I did keep it on High for my use, as I'll take a U-shaped signature even if it's only 1db), I did prefer the high gain setting and crossfeed on when listening. The crossfeed was a bigger difference than expected which was a bonus. The overall experience was good, sound wise - excluding the features - delivers a very clean signal (no sibilance despite clarity in treble), bass response was noticeably better and the soundstage was a bit wider. The only downside was it quickly showed me the shortfalls of my single DD (Salnotes Zero), on a treble only track they were excellent and similarly on bass only, the bass is meaty and detailed, but with dynamic range my iem's struggled - until I switched to my 4BA (UE11's) where the amp helped them really shine. Definitely worth the asking price in my opinion, for what it delivers as is.

It's a great amp. I wasn't able to properly power my Dan Clark E3s with my Kann Ultra, but this amp helps me easily power them. There isn't much change for the gain settings and hard to tell with the crossfeed. I find the current setting is what matters, as different cans will have different power requirements or sound different depending on the power sent to them. I figured my E3s being power hungry would want the high setting, but funnily enough. It ended up sounding best in the low setting. In high setting, it'd get some weird distortions when I raised the volume up to a higher level. It didn't get this when it was set at the low current setting. The rubber bands to hold it to a DAP feel kind of useless for that purpose, since most DAPs have touchscreens now and they get in the way. I ended up just putting them on around the MITER case. That way when you put it on a desk or something, it's just the bands that touch the surface. Not the leather. Although, I can see the leather eventually fading, but not the spots the bands are on. Anyways, I didn't give it a 5, cause it doesn't come with a 4.4mm balance cable and it seems extremely finicky on charging. If you use the included USB-C charging cable, no problems. Any other USB-C charging cable, it's a weird gamble. Sometimes work, sometimes doesn't, even if it's the same cable you've been charging with before. I'm just stuck having to carry around the AK USB-C cable. Luckily, I have a few, since I own multiple AK DAPs, which aren't finicky about what cable they use.
