When you receive it you need to download developers app VgateFwUpdater, once downloaded open it. Hit the scan button to scan for your device once done hit update to update the firmware. Bear in mind engine needs to be switched on for power to update & scan the ecu. Then download car scanner on App Store. Very simple to do. Just plug the obd in and start the engine up, open car scanner, go to setting and select your car from the database once done, go to the main menu and hit connect. Takes a few seconds only. On my Lexus I removed the check engine light cause of the decat and removed all lambda codes. Cel then turned off. The ford focus had 1 code for a system fault which was removed.
