Are these good for sifting home made compost

I have the 1/2 and the 1/4 units. I nest the 1/2 over the 1/4, over a 5 gallon bucket. One shovel full at a time, shake a bit back and forth, and throw the big stuff back into my "working compost". the compost needs to be a bit on the dry side for it to work, otherwise the wire gets coated with wet compost stuff and kind of clogs up. another thing I found was if you think you can bang the thing upside down on something hard to get the clogs out, it works 4 or 5 times then breaks. maybe if you had something kind of rubber like to bang on, but I was using a dead tree next to my pile. Better to just brush off the wires with your gloves, else, like me, you're reviewing your order list and ordering another one to replace the one you broke. I had some year old compost, really dry, and the stuff was like black gold after the sieving. My plants looked like they'd been professionally mulched:) and grew like crazy this year. Oh, and the next day after putting it down, the squirrels had a blast doing their little "is it here, no, is it here, no, is it here", but a quick once over with a garden rake a few days after they'd finished their search and find routine,  and all looks great again.

In "my" opinion the gp2-18 mesh is too small.  I find the gp2-14 sufficient for my use.

Does SE make larger sifters? 3/4" 1" 11/2" or 2"?

Where can I get data sheets with the exact opening size in microns or mm?    I do not want an approximation by taking the advertised opening size.

1 Inch = 25400 Micrometers so 1/30" is 847 microns  and one micron is equal to .001 millimeters.  Or in other words, 1/30" is equal to .847 millimeters or just over 3/4 of a millimeter.  Hope that helps.  You can find a chart breakdown in a civil engineers work manual.
