We have a dog that constantly barks when outside and is small enough to hide under the bushes when we try to get her in so I was looking for a humane way to try teach her to stop barking. Was glad this merely had a vibrate and not an actual shock. We’ve never even got to the vibrate yet though. After one bark, the beep goes off and that silences our dog. Peace at last.My only criticism is that if you’re going to use such an odd battery size then provide it with the product! Couldn’t find it anywhere in shops and had to order it online which took almost two weeks to come.

In the last three years, this is by far the best product I have purchased for my dog, and almost best value for money product ever!!! Worked like a treat with my dog, he used to go to the garden and bark for at least 20 minutes non stop repeatedly. Used it to start with at the lowest sensitivity setting at first, it beeps the first few times when the dog barks then beeps and gently vibrates. Both are unpleasant for the dog so he learnt that barking outside is not cool. In one day he stopped barking significantly with the collar, then now he barks way less without it (almost does not). And when he barks I put it on for 20 minutes then take him to garden and reward him for not barking. I still use it once a week, not always. And after all my dog is big german shepherd... I do want him to bark when there is an intruder.. he is still rewarded for barking on command adn when barks for a good reason...just the relentless barking has now stopped almost completely.So in summary, it will work, but you need to use simple training tricks (whatever you use with your dog) if you want long term behavioural change. Or if not it will be just a case of whenever collar is on, dog will not bark.

My dog is 3 and barks when she's gets over excited, anxious, sees a dog, someone knocks at the door, sees a human..... basically all the time. I put this collar on her and within 24hrs her barking has reduced 90%. What a difference a day makes. Wish I knew this 3 years ago!

After numerous sleepless nights because of our 8 month old dog barking for attention we had tried a few things but eventually had to go for this and it worked immediately. The first thing it does is beep without any vibration and that alone has been enough to stop him barking for attention, it does not even have to go to the second one where it beeps and vibrates. It has seven levels where it increases the vibration if the dog continues to bark but as said we normally only have the initial beep and that stops him from continuing to bark. It has been fantastic and has stopped our sleepless nights without causing any discomfort to the dog. Highly recommend, we were initially concerned how it would be for him but he lets us put it on at night with no issues.

Absolutely brilliant. Worked a treat on barking Cocker Spaniel. Took only ten minutes to have effect. A different dog!

Battery run out quickly and its hard to find a replacement. My dog wasn't happy having this on and off as advised. He barks before I have a chance to put it on so that defies the point. If I could leave it on forever that would be better but they say not to. He did find the noise coming from the device odd and he did stop barking after a while but the point is I need him to stop barking in the first place, especially when I am about to feed him or when he thinks I am about to feed him or take him out for a walk. Those are the only times he does bark...but he is a husky and quite loud.So, barking at midnight, when I am only going out to give him a cuddle... is not nice for my neighbours. It needs improvement.

Bought after reading the reviews and in particular that it wouldn't hurt my noisy furry girl. I was still worried about putting it on so it took a few days before I did and wished I had just got on and used it straight away. It emits a sound when she barks which is sufficient for her to stop barking as she tries to figure out where the noise came from. Within a week there was a significant and dramatic improvement. Whilst I don't want her not to be able to bark it has stopped the reactive barking when people are walking past the garden and I am not there to stop her; so all round we are happy, neighbours and villagers are happy and more importantly she gets to spend more time in the garden without being told off and brought indoors.
