First few versions didn't work, but the latest one does (they kept working on it)
I used an Apple A1306 to connect my DVI display (Dell 3007WFP-HC with 2560x1600 resolution) to the Mini DisplayPort on my 2012 MacBook Pro. When I upgraded to a 2021 MacBook Pro, which has USB-C ports as display outputs, it seemed like a USB-C to Mini DisplayPort was what I needed, and the Jasput one had the right specs (it says "supports resolution up to 3840x2160"), so I bought it. It worked fine at half-resolution (1280x800), but not at full resolution. I thought I'd ask the manufacturer for support, but I can't figure out how to contact them.Follow-up: in response to writing the above review, TVBEST's staff contacted me and asked me to remove it in exchange for a refund, and when I explained that I wasn't interested in a refund, but was interested in addressing my problems (not working at the advertised resolution, and not being able to get support from the manufacturer), they offered more money in exchange for removing the review, and when I said no again, offered even more (saying "Please help me out"). This led me to wonder whether the reason that the specifications were misleading and the comments didn't mention the problems I'd encountered was that previous customers had been paid to remove them.Follow-up #2: After adding the first follow-up to this review, somebody from Jasput contacted me, and offered to send me other adapters to test. They tried twice; neither replacement adapter worked. However, they did update the product description to add a "doesn't work with" section so that future customers wouldn't have the disappointment I did.Follow-up #3: After several months, they sent me another version which has so far been working flawlessly, so I'm changing the review to five stars.

Exactly what I needed!
A few months ago I got a 13" Macbook Pro 2020 with the M1 chip. Loving my computer but wanted to hook it up to my second monitor that I have used with my imac. I needed an adaptor and this one is perfect!! Just got it today and plugged in the display port that used to plug straight into my iMac from my hp monitor into the adaptor and pugged that into my laptop. Instant success. Now I have two screens to do my design work on. This is fantastic and exactly what I needed. Super impressed with the quality for the price. Nice ends to plug into the laptop and the display port - very snug connection that seems secure and reliable. The cord between the ends is wrapped in nylon type threads and is thick and stiff so I don't think this will break easily so it should last a long time. My plan is to only use it at home when I am needing the monitor so it will say plugged into the monitor and then plug or unplug to the laptop. I am thrilled and recommend!

Buyer Beware, Though Not Seller's Fault
Originally, bought this adapter when I was having issues with my '15 iMac but it did not help. But I ket it knowing that a new Mac was in the future.Time came with purchase of Mac Mini M2. Still does not work. Most sellers have vague descriptions of what connections will work or not as did this. But it is DisplayPort only, NOT Thunderbolt 2 so it does not work to connect devices (external drive) with a DisplayPort to a USB-C (TB4) .Apparently Apple is the only one manufacturing a true TB2 to TB 3/4 adapter cable.

Works every time. Would buy again.
Connects my M1 Mac to an older Minidisplay port connection. Works every time. Would buy again.

5120 x 1440 at 120 Hz
Works with Acer Swift Edge 16 to drive my 49" ultra widescreen at 120 Hz. Sure, I could use the HDMI port. But my work laptop has mini DP, and it's more convenient to to just swap that cable. Wouldn't mind if it was a bit more flexible, but it's fine.

USBC-MDP Adapter
Works for Apple LED Cinema Displays that have mini DisplayPort connections going to Mac Studios. This is not for Thunderbolt connections. Apple TB3-2 adapter did not work for the same scenario. This can display 4k. Unknown brand or build quality, but good price, secure connection, and small footprint.

Works Great for Old Apple Monitor
We bought this adapter for my wife, who is using my old Apple monitor—that has a mini-display port adapter—with her work laptop that only has USB-C connections. Tested it out, and the adapter works great! No issues with the connection, and my wife is excited to use the new-to-her monitor. The one thing she especially likes is that the cable is braided and not coated like normal cable, so it’s feels sturdy while still being flexible.

Help keeping the Apple 27” Cinema Displays a lot longer!!!
I’ve ordered three of these adapters for my Apple 27” Cinema Displays upon upgrade my computer to a 2023 Mac Studio. These adapters are doing the job of delivering the video signal to the three cinema displays very clear. But, be advised that this cable WILL NOT work with the Apple 27” Thunderbolt Display because of the video signal process is completely different and that cable requires the Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter cable. These mini display cable to USC-C port will not deliver the audio potion to the cinema display, but you’ll still get sound coming from your computer. Overall, this save the money of buying new monitors and new meaning to the cinema displays as well.
