Sounds like a gunshot every time you switch inputs with the remote. Bang Bang Bang
Switcher makes a loud bang in the analog audio output that scared the heck out of my audience every time we switched sources. It also has roaring noise in the audio which may or may not be eliminated by a ground loop isolator. When audio quality fed through this device was compared with audio directly from the source, it was evident that the audio signal from this device is vastly inferior with limited highs and drummy lows. Too bad the audio quality is so poor because as a video switcher it works very well. No black outs, no long waiting time, no need to reset. If the audio worked up to standard I would give this five stars.

Great solution to getting the audio signal out of multiple source
This does exactly what I needed. Currently using it to switch between Directv, Xfinity, Xbox One, and Playstation 3. Although my television has enough HDMI inputs, I didn't have enough optical inputs on my audio receiver. Having this box allows me to get the optical output to my receiver and switch between sources. Now I don't switch sources on the television or the receiver. Instead I switch using the remote that came with the switcher. Even better that it is able to pass the 5.1 or 7.1 signal to the receiver, so I'm getting the surround sound that was intended with the source material.

SINCE TV SPEAKERS ARE NOT GREAT I HAVE A SOUND BAR THAT ISN'T HOOKED UP ...
WORKS EXCELLENTLY ... HOOKED UP TO TCL55403 TV AND CAN GET SOUND FROM BOTH TV AND HEADPHONES THROUGH THE TENSUN 4 PORT UNIT. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT FEATURE SINCE PEOPLE HEARING IMPAIRED CAN NOW USE THEIR HEADPHONES!SINCE TV SPEAKERS ARE NOT GREAT I HAVE A SOUND BAR THAT ISN'T HOOKED UP YET. I WONDERED IF I HOOKED IT UP VIA TOSLINK WOULD I GET SOUND THROUGH SOUND BAR ALSO IN ADDITION TO TV AND HEADPHONES?

Good HDMI switch and audio extraction
Works well switching HDMI sources, and the audio extraction jacks works fine. My feeds include computer, blu-ray player, and tv tuner with an output feeding an HDMI to SDI converter then back to HDMI to a projector. No problems except the (expected) occasional loss of signal due to HDCP when components aren't turned on in the proper sequence. Easily remedied by cycling the power on this switch. Haven't tried with 4k or 3D signals.

fairly easy to use
Used this to add optical audio support to a cheap TV that didn't have optical audio out. So now i can have a nicer soundbar for my parents television.Works well, fairly easy to use. The only weird thing, is that the volume down for the TV uses the same signal as the input switch for this switch box. So whenever i put the volume down, it changes the input. But if you just hide it in a cabinet, it works just fine. :)

... this about a month ago and it was working fine up until earlier this week
I had purchased this about a month ago and it was working fine up until earlier this week. It was not responding to the included IR remote and when I used the touch screen, it would turn on and off, but it would not switch the input, staying stuck at the unused input 4. I have turned it off and on, removed it from power, and changed out the remote's battery, but none of those solved the problem. Review is subject to change if I can get in touch with the company.

Warning! Purple hue when playing DVDs!
This product is great for connecting up to 4 HDMI and it works great for PS4 and Amazon Fire Stick...EXCEPT when I play a DVD on any device, it gives a purple hue output. Not good at all! Also a negative is that it changes the input when I change the tv channel using a high def antenna switch box...so if I want to watch TV, I have to unplug the other three HDMI inputs while I find the channel I want so it doesn't have another active HDMI input to switch to. Update: 8/9/2018 the digital hidef tv is now always purple. They took if Amazon, most likely for this. I wanted a 4 way switch but other 3 way switches look much for favorable.

Does NOT support HDCP!
While the specs on this look fantastic and the build quality is solid, it does not support HDCP!! That makes it rather useless for most HDMI applications so be cautious.
