Waterstons sealing wax has been made the same way since 1752 which is all by hand, the only thing that has changed is the recipe which has made it more flexible for today's market. It has a high sheen and is has high adhesive properties, we therefore recommend you use a release agent or a simple ice cube which will stop it sticking to your seal. (place your seal on a ice cube a few seconds prior to sealing)

Lovely wax
We are lovely waxes to work with, I bought a seal to use with them and it turns out perfect every time! The only thing I'd say is, the instructions for the wax say to use about a 5pence worth of wax which we did on the first few practice runs but our seal wasn't getting covered enough so I'd say to probably use just a bit bigger than a penny of wax before using a seal on it. I ordered way too many purley because I didn't know how much I'd need. I've sealed approximitley 57 invites and have only used 2 sticks out of the 9 I bought! Which I think is good going! Would definitely recommend. I've included a picture of one of the first seals I did so it's not very good but just so you get an idea of the colour etc.

This is a good quality sealing wax
This is a good quality sealing wax, but the purple is not as deep and rich as the photo indicates.
