This is a lovely satchel. I wanted a briefcase that wasn't "girly corporate" (like so many of the women's briefcases out there) and this fits the bill perfectly. It's extremely well-made. Yes, there was a strong leather smell to the satchel (I like that though) and after three days the smell has dissipated to a subtle leather whiff, which is lovely.There wasn't a lot of detail in the product description, so here's what you get:The interior is roomy: there's a central compartment - I put an A4 lever arch file and an A4 notebook in there and, although there wasn't much room for much else, to be fair the leather will soften and give over time - it's so robust you know it can take a good battering and happily cope with being overstuffed.There are two internal slip compartments - front and back. I can put my 13" MacBook Air in the back one (which is slightly padded) without its case or with a shell case on, and it fits comfortably. If I put my MBA in its BookBook case it has to go in the central compartment, so I'd say the central compartment could easily accommodate a 15" laptop, along with assorted papers and files. On the inside front there is a zipped compartment which goes the whole width and depth of the satchel - wide enough for A4 papers. There is also a mobile phone sleeve/pocket and a three-pen sleeve. There's also a zipped compartment on the back of the briefcase, again wide and deep enough for A4 papers. The small pocket on the front outside is deceptively spacious: I can easily get my MBA charger in there, along with a 2.5" portable hard drive. The satchel strap is very long - the satchel can easily cross-body, for example, a very tall person. Being a very short person, I need to notch a couple more holes in it so the satchel doesn't bang my butt when I walk.Overall, the quality is superb and the satchel presents real value for money - similar ones, for example, on places like notonthehighstreet, were almost double the price of this one. Lastly, the delivery was super-fast, which was an added bonus. The satchel will age really well, so if you have to carry a lot of sh*t around with you, and you like a vintage look, boy or girl, you won't go far wrong with this.

This is a very late review since I had this bag for over a year now. I bought this bag for my studies abroad and it was delivered the day before my flight, I have read the reviews and all seemed good but when I got the bag the bag zip was broken and the threading inside the bag is also a complete mess. I did not return the bag because I simply didn't have the time to go do it so I had to send it to my family to India to get the bag zip fixed. Honestly apart from that the bag was great but the head ache it caused me is the reason for the low stars and you might be thinking the bag zip is not a big deal. When you buy a bag at 60 pounds you expect it to be made properly although leather bags tend to be more expensive I know, but the bag zip being broken is not the kinda look I wanted to go for it was extremely annoying. Hopefully this won't happen to you if you buy this bag, and I doubt it should since all the other reviews of it seemed great. Have a nice day.

I bought this for work, to replace my uniform black laptop rucksack. Its a lovely leather, lovely colour and seems pretty robust. It got soaked in the rain and unlike some of the reviews, did not discolour, however just in case, I purchased some Renapur leather treatment which once applied brought out the lovely colour in the leather and has protected it from further soakings. I put a fair bit in the bag, laptop, diary, pens, power leads etc. etc. and so there is plenty of room. If you want to add a bit of style to your dreary work day, I'd recommend this.

Working in the community, I was struggling to find a work bag that was strong and would hold all the stuff I need to carry with me, when I came across this bag, care of Amazon. It is roomy with lots of compartments, strong , and stylish looking, making it ideal for my needs. I am very pleased with the functionality and look of the bag. It also came when Urban Safari said that it would. Would highly recommend the bag and the company.

Fantastic product! I tend to carry everything with me, whether I need it or not, because I practically live at work and I must have certain creature comforts with me at all times.This bag is huge, and it's also very comfortable to wear. It was a bit stiff at first, but the more I use it the more it mellows.At this price, it's a steal! Would highly recommend.

The satchel suits well for my purposes. There is room enough for my laptop, sheet music and other equipment. The bag is quite large but so am I. The quality of the bag (robust, well made and good leather) is very good in this price class. The smell of leather was clear but not disturbing in the beginning.

Bought as Christmas presents for my 2 eldest sons. One is a teacher and one a lecturer. There are cheaper on the market, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Great quality and a superb service.

Beautiful stylish bag. Bought this for my partners birthday, and he looks so much better with this than the tacky nylon monstrosity work gave him!
