Artis 4 Way Plug Mains Switch Extension Adapter Surge Protector with USB Ports

I would agree with a fellow reviewer A. Brodie, that this is a sturdy, nicely made, well designed piece of kit that does the job and does it well (enough space aroud the sockets for plugs etc) but ..... the green light on the front for the surge protector is VERY bright indeed and to my mind that limits where you will want to place the unit. The whole unit glows green through the white plastic around the light itself, as well as the light itself being so very bright. For me, the unit would be ideal without that green light.

Have used this for charging my Samsung mobile as this has fast charge i used it with the Samsung plug and lead in the one of the sockets, also pluged my Anazon Fire tablet into the sockets, have used the USB ports for charging my Bluetooth speaker and a old Samsung phone , all charged and worked just fine.The slight downside is you need quite a bit of clarence between the main house wall socket its plugged into and any surface as the sockets on this adapter sit below the wall socket and then need room for the end of plugs and first bit of lead etc.It is really useful having the usb ports as well as the two sockets as keeps it more compact.Works fine and appears to be well made and nice to know my gagets are being protected against any power surge .Very happy with this item.

I bought this in February 2019, I took it to India as I wanted to be able to plug in a few devices in one socket. It was fantastic!The reason I bought the Artis 4 way Plug was to replace a much pricier Belkin 2 Way Multi Plug - which has a "handy" feature where you can fold up the socket pins to save space. However the design of the Belkin plug means it just falls out of sockets and you can't plug anything into the USB ports at the bottom.The Artis plug is well made and thought out with the design, meaning it will fit perfectly into most sockets and is a great travel companion. It was very handy in the airport when I desperately needed a plug and asked someone if I could plug into the one they were using and they could plug their phone cable into the USB slot!We had two phones charging, a laptop and a kindle tablet... no problems at all with over heating etc.A truly great bit of kit and I'm looking forward to taking it with me to Vietnam!

Works well in my kitchen. Safe with surge plug now. Can also charge my phone in a convenient place.Needed to place 'pads' under bottom part to stabalise this against the wall in line with depth of original plug socket.

Good product and works well, but the green light on the front is *really* bright. So you wouldn't want to use this in a bedroom.

A handy adaptor that I can't fault. I only wanted an extra plug and this not only provides the extra plug but as a bonus 2 extra usb sockets which in itself is a handy extra to have with all the charging that needs to be done. Well made and definitely fit for the purpose it was intended. I can't comment on the surge protection because it hasn't been needed up to this point but with this attribute clearly defined across the front I would expect it to do what it is meant to do.

This twin socket surge protector is an ideal way of turning a single UK wall socket intoa double socket for 13 amp 3 pin plugs.It also comes with two USB charging adapters which will charge up some smartphones or cameras, but I rarely use these.It has a built in green light to indicate that the surge protection is working whichsome customers say is very bright, but I have found no issue with this.It could do with protusions on the back to make it level with the wall when pluggedin, but I have got round this by putting two sticky pads onto the back of the device.Like most things of this nature you won't know that it is surge protecting, it just doesthe job.Well worth the money.

Although this seems a handy product it would not charge my Samsung phone and when trying to charge my Kindle got a message to use my Amazon charger, still useful as a socket for a plug.
