As a fan of Jimmy Nail I bought this DVD not quite sure what to expect: the roller-coaster ride of a Country singer that goes from obscurity to the top them straight to a living hell. It was fantastic! The writing was clinical. The cast was totally supporting and meshed just right. So why was this so good? As I watched each episode, it was difficult to tell what was going to happen next. In the first series, James Wilby plays Ade Lynn, a record producer that through devious means takes Jed Sheppard (Jimmy Nail) to stardom as a country singer - the new big thing. The are so many twists and turns that I was gripped as to what the next bombshell would be. Though Wilby is missed is the second series this is just as strong as Jed faces crisis after crisis. Jimmy Nail was fantastic in all of this - as they say in the game, a real 'tour de force'. And the bonus? Jimmy Nail really can sing and among the hits that became hits were the eponymous 'Crocodile Shoes' and the fantastic 'Country Boy'. Raise your hands and jump for joy - lets hear it for the Country Boy! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Complete Collection made a complete anniversary for us *by M***D on 2 February 2015* Always loved the music on this show, In fact my wife and I regard "The Difference Between a Woman and a Man" is our song and tells our story. We are both in our 70's and we both lost our spouses after nearly 50 years of marriage. My new wife and I met and married and I now live in Florida with my American wife. We had our 3rd anniversary this month and we are blessed with having some very talented singers as friends who regaled us with songs from this album. I am slowly introducing Americans to Jimmy Nail and his brand of country music. Most songs sang at our "21 Dog Years" anniversary party were from this show. Quite a few watched the show with us on DVD and hopefully within the next few weeks I will show them "Aufweisen Pet" when the boys sell a bridge to Indians in Arizona. I am sure the Yanks will enjoy it once they get used to the Geordie accents.Thanks Jimmy for a very pleasant anniversary all down to the music from this album.
