I was a bit skeptical when these arrived because they looked a lot more flimsy than I was expecting. The tubing looks similar to cheap drinking straws. I thought they might last a week. But we have had them outside on our deck all winter and have never had a problem with them - we live in New England so they have lasted through snow, ice, and extreme cold (including a whole week of temps around 0). The remote control is great so you don't have to go out and turn them on and off when there's a foot of snow outside. I am extremely impressed with them! We got this type of lights after multiple strings of regular lights got chewed up by squirrels - they think the bulbs are nuts, apparently - and the squirrels haven't bothered these at all.

The media could not be loaded. I have a problem with bright and shiny lights. My porch has your own solar light set up. So I decided I want to get a new strand put in my bedroom because my old strand died. What I do is I plug it in and then I hook it around hooks up top near my ceiling so that if I’m watching TV in the dark it’s not fully dark so it’s better for your eyes then sitting in the dark but it’s not too bright. And sometimes I use the remote as a light when I get up at night. I love the color on these and I can’t wait to get them put up around my bedroom, I have to replace some hooks and then I’m gonna Have them shining on the wall

These are great! We wrapped them around our palm trees for Christmas. We didn't get them to sync "exactly" to turn three sets on and off at the same time. However, we like the effect of one at a time. The directions are extremely tiny print - you will need a magnifying glass (or to be extremely near sighted as am I!) The colors are pretty and work well with the LED Christmas lights on our bushes. Another bonus - they are very pliable - easy to wrap smoothly and can "tie off" with a small tie wrap. Wonderful lights!

This product is cool and I would recommend to my friends and family the only thing I did not like was it states it has 8 modes and mine only have 3 modes other than that it is worth it for the price they are asking.

The tube containing the led lights is about a quarter of an inch. The lights display somewhat bright. I attached the lights to the front of the trellis with 1/4 inch clips. I weaved the remainder thru holes in the lattice. I am very satisfied with results. I am using the light's timer to turn on at 7:00 pm and shut off 6 hours later. They have been operating for a month (June) with no problems. Hopefully they will survive the winter weather in Chicago.

I got two of these. Both turn on, both have very bright flashing lights, neither are controlled by the remote control. One will turn off the lights, but not turn it back on. Neither remote will change the light patterns. These suck. I waited too long to check them to send them back, So i am stuck with them. Don't buy these.

The actual lights are exactly what I wanted and the dimming feature is great. The issues are: 1. They have a USB power connection when a wall plug was shown and the USB to wall converter was not included. I don't like the USB connection for outside use and had to come up with extra weather protection. 2. They do not come on with the other lights on the same timer, I have to use the remote every time. Not ideal for an outside Christmas display. 3. The settings do not maintain when they are turned off. The default display is a chase pattern and I prefer steady on (option #8, no motion or flashing), which I need to set along with the dimming I prefer each time. 4. I originally wanted to return these, but I would have had to ship them to China at my own cost using a provided label, something I was not interested in doing, so I kept them. 5. The packaging was sketchy, the box images didn't match the product, it was crushed and torn and taped. 6. No instructions were included. Customer service replied quickly, but didn't offer any real remedy to my concerns. In summary, they aren't bad for an indoor display that isn't using a timer, but I wouldn't not order again.

I love these lights! Really long, gives off a great glow. We use these in my son's room as his nightlight wrapped around his bunk bed.He prefers then on constantly but the options for the lighting effects are great. The timer option is perfect as now he can drift of to sleep with them on and they'll shut off automatically sometime during the night. The remote is how you control everything though so if you lose it then your stuck with whatever mode it was in previously when you plug it in
