Maybe better for a US audience, but needs plenty of work on characters to convince.
I'm afraid an idealistic lawyer pursuading a man who is supposed to be to be one of the world's leading assassin (attractive due to his 'animal magnetism...groan) who has captured her, blackmailed her, to alter his conduct by persuading him change his ways through her Christian teachings is a story just too hard to swallow for a UK audience. Shame, as I think he could write a more convincing tale if he understood more about the processes he uses in his plot. One (of many possible) examples is that there would always be an autopsy in a suicide. ...and the chances of any law enforcement officer, let alone an experienced FBI agent not knowing this is exceptionally unlikely. I've just double checked this author's background and am astonished to see he read law. I'm shocked. It doesn't show in this book.

If you like John Grisham try this.
I liked this book, my second by this author. I didn't find the inclusion of references to Christianity as annoying or distracting as some other reviewers. I enjoyed the suspense and was not sure what the ending would be until I got there, there were some good twists along the way. I think John Grisham is the best at writing novels like this, but this came close for me. I will continue to read books by this author.

Intense thriller
Really intense thriller. Good suspense maintained throughout and sorry was fast paced and flower well. Twists and turns added to the intrigue.

I found this a most annoying crime book
I found this a most annoying crime book. The writer seems to be more of an apologist for christianity than anything else. I found the main protagonist smug and irritating and really didn't need this propaganda. Very disappointing in respect of character description and plot. I won't be reading this writer again.

Chalk another one up for the good guys!
Perhaps not as taut or as gripping as others, this tale is nonetheless nicely crafted. I felt the 'religious' angle a little bit 'flimsy', through in another way it helped form part of the strength of the central character. If religious belief is to be used then make it more assertive.I like legal dramas and I liked this one, too.

Good read
I enjoyed this book immensely, the co felt was good and I loved the characters. But there was something missing, can't quite put my finger on what. Having said that it kept me reading and I would recommend you read if you like legal thrillers. I would certainly look at some of his other works

A good read
I found this to be well written and quite a page Turner, however like other reviewers I found a little too many references to God .

Great Book
This is absolutely 'unputdownable' from the very beginning. Suspense and a triller all in one. I am going to check out his other books and if they are as good as this one. James, another fan added to your fan club.
