A good workout for the over 50s
After an accident that caused various problems that precluded more strenuous exercise I began to use the Pilates for over 50s beginners DVD. So having used that for a few years I thought I should try the intermediate workouts. As with the beginners guide clear instructions are given, although the sound fades from time to time, and the moves are clearly demonstrated by the instructor and the 2 students, an added plus is that there is no distracting music. The exercises are more challenging but I find this a very useful DVD

Challenging and well explained workouts
This is not for beginners. If you are familiar with Pilates these sessions will challenge you, but they are well explained and easy to follow.

I've been doing Pilates for many years, both on tapes and at classes, but had become rather bored with the beginner-type tutorials. For several years I've been doing another intermediate dvd but had become bored with that also, and rather irritated with the instructors 'unusual' accent. this dvd is a welcome change. It is intermediate level and it does push me, but the good thing is that the instructor tells/shows you exactly what to do for each move, talking you all the way through it so as to keep you on track and avoid injury.

Good DVD worth having
A well presented pilates session. Well explained as she does each exercise.

Too slow for intermediate.
I was expecting much more for an intermediate workout. This is very slow paced and not very challenging. At first I thought the warm up was taking too long but then I realised the whole workout was almost over. Perhaps a good workout if you're just starting out. I gave it two starts as the stretching was pretty good but I doubt I'll use the DVD again.

While there are some intermediate moves in this video it is certainly not meant for a workout. If you're looking for a relaxed slow paced video this is for you.
